"Bro, what are you talking about ?" I asked Asia as we closed our lockers walking to class.
"What you mean ?" She laughed.
I shook my head as we walked to her class. Sometimes Asia didn't remember what she was talking about even after she just said it. I mentally laughed at her, because what ?
"Alright, get to class Asia" I said while giving her a side hug.
" Ok bestie"
She hugged me back, walking into her first period class. I turned around and walked to my second period. Absentminded, listening to music, I accidentally bumped into somebody.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry" I started to help the girl pick her stuff up.
"It's Ok"
I looked up and I thought I heard angels sing.
" You new here..." I looked at her schedule "Ky'moni" I flashed my million dollar smile.
She laughed lightly and blushed at me.
"Yes, and your name sir ?" She got my pronouns right off rip ???
"Ashton" I held my hand out for her to shake.
She shook my hand and I offered to walk her to class.
She accepted.
"How did you know my pronouns off rip ?"
She looked at me and shrugged.
"I call everybody sir but it's good to know that you don't identify as she, I'll remember from now on" She looked up at me
"Oh word ? that's wassup" I must've looking at her a lil too long and she tapped my chest
"Pick ya lip up sir" She lightly chuckled, as she tapped my chest and took her books from me so she could walk into class
I chuckled, a lil embarrassed
"I'll see you later aight ?" I opened my arms for a side hug. She looked at me a lil funny, but still half wrapped herself into my embrace
" It's was nice meeting you, Ashton" She smiled walking further into the classroom
" You too, Ky'moni" I smiled, walking off down the hall.
Hopefully, I get to see her a lil more often around school. I hope we could connect more. Never seen nobody like her around here.
