Chapter 19

Rose couldn't sleep as she thrashed around her bed. She lays flat on her back as she sighs deeply and dragged her hand down her face. A knock on her window interrupted her as she looks over and sat up walking towards her window seeing Isaac outside making her frown and slid it open.

"Isaac? Why are you outside?" She whispers hoping no one is listening.

"You look like you're having some troubles sleeping and I can't either, so wanna sneak out for a bit?"
"My dad and uncles will kill us if we do."
"Come on it'll be just this once. Besides we both need to clear our minds and I know just the place." He held his hand out towards her making her look at it before sighing and taking his hand. He helps her crawl out from her window before they walked silently down the roof.

"How are supposed to get down and back up?"
"Easy." He mutters as he sat at the edge and turns before dropping down. Rose looks as he wipes his hand before looking back at her.

"Coming?" He ask smirking a little as she looks back to her room then back at him.

"Can't believe I'm doing this." She mutters as she sat at the edge and slid off. Isaac catches her as she shuts her eyes before opening them seeing Isaac stare at her for a moment before setting her down to the ground.

"Um...uh Thank you."
"No problem, anyways this way." He takes her hand as they both ran into the woods the full moon shines bright over them as they walk further.

"Are you sure we're going the right way?"
"Trust me, I've visited this place a couple of times when I started living here."
"Does anyone else knows this place you're talking about?"
"No....maybe." He mutters as she giggles and shook her head.

"Just a couple of steps ahead." He says and Rose not paying attention as she steps over a root causing for her to fall, but Isaac catches her.

"Woah there, you okay?"
"Yeah, trees and roots."
"Okay, thought you were falling for me there for a moment."
"Oh hush Romeo." She pushes him slightly as he laughs making her laugh with him. They soon made it to the destination as Rose gasped seeing a beautiful lake that was glowing bright blue.

"Woah, I have never seen anything like this."
"Same, first time I've see this was just now."
"What do you think makes it glow?"
"I don't know, algae?"
"Oh, have a look." She pushes Isaac to the lake giggling uncontrollably as Isaac swam up and wiped the water from his face before glaring at her.

"Seriously?"
"What? A close inspection doesn't hurt."
"A close inspection. Right. Mind helping me up?"
"Nah-uh I know your tricks."
"Hey, its freezing and I am not gonna swim to the far end to get out."
"Augh fine." She sighs and kneels as they reach for another. As soon as Isaac grabs her hand, he then pulled her and laughed as Rose gasped for air and wiped her face.

"Karma!" He shouted and she splashes him with water which caused a water fight for both. They laughed like children as they splashed at one another. They both stopped to rest as a smile still spread onto their faces. Isaac seam towards her and pulling her into him as they stared at each other in the eyes.

He moves a piece of her wet hair to the side and caresses her cheek before leaning down to kiss her when a sudden snap came to their attention. Rose could sense something was wrong as she takes hold of Isaacs hand.

"We have to go."
"What why?"
"We have to go, now!" She tells him as they get out of the water together and ran into the woods. The heavy weight of water from their clothes slowed them down a little, but they kept going as they heard thudding from behind them a low growl.

"Isaac! Run!"
"I am!" He shouted in a panic holding her hand tightly as they dodge through the trees. Rose looks behind her seeing a dark shape shadow darting between trees behind them. Rose trips again causing for Isaac to stop and pick her up before they continue running.

"His coming!" She shouted as Isaac pushed on. His legs began to cramp and sore, but that didn't stop them. As the beast grew closer and closer, it then disappeared from the trees.

"It's gone."
"Doesn't mean he didn't le-" Isaac was cut off when he was then pushed away as he and Rose flew back. Isaac being hit the force as his head hits the tree knocking him out. Rose grunted as she gets up and move towards him when a sharp pain pierced her leg making her scream in pain. She looks as the beast of a werewolf hovers over her, huffing as she trembles in fear.

"P-Please." She begs and the monster opened his mouth ready to bite her only to be thrown away.

"Derek?"
"Come on." He helps her up as they were both ready to go.

"We can't leave Isaac with that thing." She tells him as he groans and grabs the unconscious teen and ran. The thudding continues as Rose see her house nearby knowing that the beast will catch up she then began shouting for her family.

"Dad! Dad! Help us!" Rose shouted as much as Derek didn't like it, it was the only way. Before they made it further Derek as then grabbed and tossed away taking both Isaac and Rose. They all landed as Derek gets up and shifts to his wolf growling at the beast. The giant dark wolf growls back at him before they both came into a brawl. Isaac grunted as Rose crawled to him.

"Go!" Derek shouted at them as Rose shakes Isaac awake who looks at her.

"Come on!" She says helping him up as he groans before getting up as they both limp towards the direction to their house.

Derek was thrown away as the giant wolf then turned his attention towards them. It roared and went for an attack only to fall from the ground whimpering and grunting. Isaac and Rose looks to see Bonnie, Freya, and Davina muttering witch spells at it as the rest of her family helped them. Rebekah and Marcel both helped Derek off the ground who is covered in bites and scratches.

"Go, we'll take care of this." Klaus tells the three as they stopped their chants and Kol takes them back home leaving Klaus, Elijah, and Finn.

"No one messes with our family and gets away with it." Klaus tells the beast who growls and roars at them before pouncing. The others made it hope safely as Davina takes care of Rose's wound, Bonnie with Isaac, and Freya with Derek who lays unconscious on the couch

"Are you okay?"
"Mhm." Rose nodded in silence.

"Why did you two leave in the middle of the night? Worse, a full moon?!"
"Kol."
"They almost died, Bonnie! What were you two thinking?!" Kol ask angrily as Rose held her head down and Davina glares at him.

"Will you stop that? It's not like you never sneak out too."
"I don't. If I do, I'll never see the sunlight again." He tells her as she rolls her eyes. The door opens revealing Klaus, Elijah, and Finn covered in scratches and bites that were now healing. They came to the living room as Klaus looks at his daughter who looks back at him only for him to look away in silence making Rose look down to the ground.

"Bring them both upstairs." Niklaus tells them as Davina helps Rose up the ground making her grunt and whimper slightly from her leg. They slowly move towards the stairs as Rebekah picks Isaac up and did the same. As soon as they heard both doors shut, Bonnie looks at Klaus.

"Klaus."
"Not now."
"Don't get hard on her. Every teenager do this. I did this before."
"She's different."
"She's still a kid. She needs to live a little."
"Bonnie, the world is after my daughter after she turned 16 which is why we fled. Swarms of vampires and other creatures are looking for her. One already managed to almost kill her!" Klaus tells her as she sighs and crosses her arms.

"So what are we gonna do with him?" Finn motions towards Derek who was now healed and Freya looks at them.

"We'll ask questions."
