Christmas day was nice. Saige sat around the Potter family table making polite conversation with Ginny, the night feeling like it would never end. She hated feeling so out of place, despite their best efforts to make her feel welcome. Excusing herself for an early night, Saige sat lent against Teddy's headboard, flipping through a Quidditch magazine she found discarded on his side table.
"Hey," Teddy knocked softly on the door. "You alright?"
"I'm okay," she smiled softy at him.
"Just got a letter from McLaggen," he revealed the folded piece of parchment. "Having a party at his, all our friends will be there if you feel up to it."
Despite her instinct to stay curled up in the safety of her boyfriends room, Saige nodded in agreement. She knew it would make him happy.

To say the party was well underway would be an understatement. The large manor was filled with drunk teenagers and wizard music that seemed to come out of the walls. Upon spotting his friends, Teddy dropped Saige's hand and made his way towards the group, not noticing his now lonely girlfriend watching after him confused. Pushing down her disappointment, Saige made her way over to a group of Gryffindors, accepting the firewhiskey they practically threw at her.
An hour passed and Saige had yet to spot Teddy amongst the crowd. So, she stood talking to Victoria and Boot, slowly sipping her drink. A pair of arms threw themselves around her shoulders, a hard chest pressing against her back. Saige instinctively reached her hands to hold onto the surprise arms, steadying herself. She looked back expecting to see a mop of blue hair, however her eyes landed on Gideon Lang.
"Saigey!" he exclaimed, moving to swing one arm over her shoulder. "Didn't expect to see you here."
"Why wouldn't I be?" Saige joked. "Any excuse for a party."
"Would you mind taking your hands off my girlfriend?" an angry voice slurred. Teddy appeared into view, arms crossed defensively.
"Relax man, just saying hi to the pretty lady," Gideon replied cooly. His comment set Teddy off, as he pushed the other boy away from her.
"I said, hands off," he spoke deeply.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Saige pulled Teddy away, furrowing her eyebrows at him.
"I'm telling this arsehole to stay away from my girlfriend," he explained. Saige pulled his arm, leading them outside into the cold air.
"We're going home."

"What the hell was that?" Saige shut the door to Teddy's room. Teddy surged towards her, taking hold of her hips and pressing his lips to hers.
"Teddy," she pushed him off. "You're drunk."
"Oh thats funny," he let out a chuckle. "So when I, your boyfriend, want to touch you I can't. But when some random does it's fine!"
"It's not like that and you know it."
"How?! How is it different Saige?" he asked. "You barely let me touch you when we're alone, I can't even look at you when we're in public!"
"Stop-"
"Do you even love me Saige?" he threw his hands up, making her flinch. "Oh right right, it must be about this then." Teddy reached into her bag, pulling out the letter. "Just in case huh? Just in case you want to leave me to go back to the people that hit you."
"You went through my things?" Saige said in disbelief.
"Don't try and make me the bad guy here," Teddy grumbled. "I have done nothing but care about you and you don't even care."
"Really?! Really Teddy," she ranted. "You left me the minute we got to that stupid party to go to your friends. You didn't even come back until you saw me with another guy!"
"Just go," he stated plainly. She stared at him softy for a minute before replying.
"Ok."
And with that, she left the house and wandered into the night with nowhere to go. She knew when she was no longer wanted.
