Felix went home that day with nothing but regret, it was one of those times where you saw someone attractive and you know you're never going to see them again. He should have said something else or asked for a name or his plans here, yes it would have come off as creepy but he also thought he could've been a tour guide to the man. Why was he even hung up on this guy anyways ? He tossed and turned until he found a comfortable spot to sleep.
One thought kept crossing his mind before he fell asleep."I should have asked for his name"
Hyunjin just arrived back to his hotel, he had been dealing with hotel arrangements and taxi services, all day. His English wasn't the best but he did know a little bit, on his down time at home he taught himself English. It only makes sense if he were to become a pilot, he had to learn the language most countries speak. After a long day he decided it was best to just go to bed and head back out tomorrow, he did his usual hygiene routine and jumped into bed. His body was tired but his mind was wide awake, he usually thought about lots of things before bed but this night he only thought of one thing in particular and that was the boy from the airport. He didn't even talk to the blonde but a part of him wish he had, "I hope I didn't come off as rude" he thought. He thought about how he could have handled the situation better but it was too late now."I didn't even get his name" he thought.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was 100x brighter, it seemed like the sky was clearer and the ocean was alive. All the elements you need for a perfect day.
Felix woke up pretty early, he didn't know why but he felt happier, as if his body was preparing him for something exciting. Similar to how you feel the night before your graduation or your birthday, it just felt good. He got ready and decided to fix his hair a little bit before he headed downstairs, he was humming a little tune as he made his way to the dining table where the rest of his family sat. His family was a little taken back by Felix's happy energy, he was always happy but this day he was ecstatic.
"Woah looks like someone's happy" his sister said,
Felix rolled his eyes. "Is it wrong that I woke up in such a good mood?" He said while filling up his plate. His family shook their heads and chuckled, Felix father came into the dining room with a newspaper in hand and a wide smile "Felix ... I have some great news ! I actually spoke to the head lifeguard and he says they will hire you !" The dad said with a wide smile, as he waited for the blondes reaction. Felix dreaded how hung up his parents were on him working but he couldn't complain now "oh that's great dad! I'm so excited" he said with the fake happy tone, just as he thought this was going to be a great day he gets told this. The dad began to grab his things, "today at noon, I want you to go down there and do the interview in person okay ?"
his father kissed everyone goodbye and headed to work. Felix finished his breakfast and got ready to head to the beach.Felix showed up to the beach earlier then he was supposed to, he figured why not enjoy some free time before the interview. He sat on the Sand and could feel the warmth beneath him, he could feel the breeze embracing him and the sun kissing his cheeks. Aside from this job thing, it really was a perfect day, he saw kids playing and families in the water, and of course the little couples hand in hand walking on the beach. He was very content with life, he had good friends and he had a loving family but sometimes he wish he did have someone to love.
He wasn't at all in a rush to get married or anything like that but he did wish he had a person to stroll the beach with, pour all his love into, the type of love you see in movies and read in books. He didn't tell anyone that he was gay, for not even he knew until recently that he was. He always wondered why he was never attracted to the pretty girls in school or why he cringed at the thought of having a girlfriend.
He can't tell you when he realized it either, he just knew. He spent months trying to deny it and years trying to hide it, too worried about what his family would think. His parents would constantly try to hook him up with their friends daughters and relay their dreams of him getting married and giving them grandkids, so in order to keep up with the facade he would date the casual girl and then find a crazy excuse to break up with them. It worked for a while until he realized it wasn't right to drag those girls through heart break to save himself. So he just stopped dating in general.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hyunjin woke up that morning with a smile on his face, he didn't know why or how but he just knew it was going to be a great day. He jumped out of bed, did his daily routine of showering and hygiene, and got ready. He was so excited, for this will be the day he'd finally get to explore and sight see, he got his camera ready and got what he needed and headed out the door. He wasn't too sure what he wanted to do today but he'd figure it out, he went to this small cafe at the end of the block and realized he hasn't eaten so it's probably best to start the day with food.
He happily entered the small cafe,It smelled amazing as pastries were being made and coffee was brewing. People in their seats talking or reading. He got himself a coffee and a pastry that he didn't even know the name of but it looked appetizing, he headed to the outside patio where he sat down and began to eat. He watched as people passed by with their beach towels, surfboards and beach chairs.
Everyone seemed to be outside today which was nice, in Seoul the city is full of people too but they're mostly on their way to work or too busy to just sit and enjoy, so it's definitely not the same.He sat there and just took in the moment, adjusting his camera and film. He took pictures of the cafe and the surrounding stores, he just got this camera so he was just testing it out. He was sitting there when he saw the sweetest thing ever, an older couple holding hands as they were strolling the street. The older man looking at his wife with the most sincere eyes and his wife going on and on about something. The elderly couple stopped by a fountain where the man pulled out a penny and handed it to his wife where she closed her eyes and tossed the coin in.
Hyunjin has never seen a practice like this before, he wondered why they were throwing money in water but he just put that thought aside as he remained watching the couple. He got the sudden idea to take their picture, he threw his trash away and gathered his things as he ran over to them. The couple was startled at first but smiled at the young man, Hyunjin could speak a bit of English but not good enough to hold a conversation, so he tried to signal what he wanted to ask. Hyunjin raised the camera and said "I take picture please" the man smiled "oh you would like to take a picture of us ?" as he realized what the boy meant. Hyunjin nodded eagerly as he got his camera ready, the couple posing as the man leaned over and kissed his wife on the cheek. Hyunjin's smile widening at the sweet action, he bowed and thanked them as they walked off.
Hyunjin stood there smiling for a minute, seeing couples like that remind him of how beautiful love is, he's never experienced it but oh how wonderful it must be to feel that emotion for someone. Hyunjin didn't really think too much about relationships but when he did, he fell deep into what it must be like to love someone other then yourself. To spend your whole life with that person or the butterflies you must get when you see them. Hyunjin wasn't sure at all why he hasn't dated, opportunities came and plenty of young women were attracted to him but for some reason he couldn't picture himself with any of them. He's had his first kiss and has held a girls hand before but it didn't spark anything inside him. He didn't feel anything like the fairytales he read when he was younger said he would feel.
and he had no clue why
