She seems tough... but

Andrew stops. "Uh, yeah?" He looks at her comfused, "Sorry, Maya Bishop. I'm working with your sister on her case." Andrew instantly looks relieved, "You could've started with that, you scared me!"

Maya chuckled, and put on her work face, excusing herself from her father. "Listen, your sister said you have a file that we could use for her case. I legally cant tell you much but we're trying to prove shes not guilty, and we need solid evidence to do so." Andrews smile turns to a frown.

"Yeah, I have it. It has some pretty rough stuff in it though. Carina was never one to admit to what happened so i'm shocked." Maya nods, "She hasnt said much other than she was abused and you have evidence that we could use."

Andrew nods and asks Maya to head back to his to get the file, so she turns to her father and apologizes for ditching him, "Its okay, M. Go work on your case" Lane smiles, as Maya turns back to Andrew. "Okay, lets go. I'll go in first thing tomorrow to see her and go through it."

Andrew suddenly turns and looks at Maya, with a slight grab to Mayas wrist. Mayas a little shocked but stops to listen. "Maya, go slow. She seems tough, but reliving this is probably going to hurt. She doesnt want people to know exactly what happened and honestly, I can't blame her."

Maya immediately nods, "Of course. I've worked with enough cases of abuse to know when to go slow and when to stop. Dont worry, Andrew. She's in good hands."

Andrew smiles and they head back to his to grab the file, "Here we are, follow me and i'll grab it." Maya follows and takes the file from Andrew. Jesus! Thats thick! What did this girl go through?

"Thank you," Maya says, still a little shocked from how thick the file is. "I'll see myself out, Andrew. Thank you for this," She says, holding the file up.

Andrew nods and smiles, "Thank you for helping her. I can't promise much, but I can promise shes innocent." Maya just smiles back and heads out and back to her apartment.

Well jesus, tomorrow is going to be one rough, long day, Maya sighs and flops onto her bed, deciding to head in early to prepare for her long day tomorrow.
