Shobhana's POV

I had been looking forward to today. After all, it's not every day I get to spend time with Shubman in Bangalore—just the two of us, no distractions. Plus, it felt like the perfect opportunity to do something special.

Sundar and Meena were out making wedding plans, so it was just me and my thoughts... and Shubman. I had a plan, but let's be honest, I just wanted to enjoy the moment with him.

I checked my phone again. 5 PM. Okay, I have some time.

I sent him a quick text to confirm our plans.

SHOBI

Hey babe!
Get ready by 5 pm.
I'll pick you up!

SHUB

Of course!

The clock read 1 pm. Perfect time for a little break. But just as I sat back, ready to enjoy a cup of tea, I heard a knock on the door.

I opened it, expecting maybe a delivery, but to my surprise, it was Rahul, the 13-year-old boy who lived next door. He was standing there, grinning ear to ear.

"Akka!" he whined, his big eyes full of excitement. "Come play cricket with us! We miss you!"

I sighed but couldn't say no. The kid was practically begging. "Okay, I'll meet you guys there," I said, smiling.

He ran off, probably already picturing the victory dance we would do after my team crushed his. I grabbed my bat and made my way out.

The next three hours were a blur of running around, trying to outplay a bunch of rowdy kids with way too much energy. By 4 pm, I was exhausted and running back home, needing a quick shower.

In the bathroom, I rushed through it all, barely taking the time to think. As soon as I was done, I pulled on a casual black top that hugged my curves, jeans, and my white Converse shoes. I felt like I could take on the world—and maybe Shubman too. Focus, Shobhana. Focus.

Grabbing my keys and locking the door, I slid into my car, the engine roaring to life as I set the GPS for Shubman's place.

5 PM.
