'Where is my locker?!... I have Math next and I need the stupid book...'

'...5C... 5D... There! 5E!!'

Jisung sped towards his locker but abruptly came to a halt when he saw a girl and two guys with familiar faces.

"Did you see that new mute boy today?" The friend asked the other two.

"Dude, I met his fist earlier this morning." The familiar face which he recalled was that pretty-faced jerk, Hyunjin, said.

"What?! Did he hurt you?! Aww, babe!" The girl uttered in her high-pitched voice.

The girl suddenly tip-toed and pecked Hyunjin on the cheek.

They both blushed. 'How gross.'

'So he has a girlfriend..?'

"Yeah that boy was pretty scary." The friend stated.

"That shorty really scares you all?" The girl raised her eyebrows.

"His height may not be intimidating but his attitude and previous school records are." The friend said.

"Please, none of that scares me." She mocked. "The only thing that does scare me away from him is probably his appearance."

Jisung gritted his teeth, trying his best to ignore them. He grabbed his book and left for the class.

He takes a deep breath on reaching the classroom's entrance before stepping in. He smiled and bowed at the teacher. She returns back the smile, motioning him to stand in the middle of the class.

"Alright class, settle down! The teacher yelled, trying to make the class less noisy. "We have a new student here with us today."

The whole class looked at him with wide eyes and shocked looks on their faces.

"His name is Han Jisung and he just moved here from another school in town." The teacher continued. "I hope you all treat him well and make him feel like home in here."

He looked down upon hearing the last sentence.

"You can find an empty seat and sit there." The teacher said to him.

He nodded and looked around to find a seat.

He tapped a boy on his shoulder. "Oh n-no, the seat's taken!"

"Someone's sitting here." A girl said. Clearly it was empty from the very beginning.

"Someone's sitting here too!" Another boy quickly stated when Jisung was approaching.

He rolled his eyes, they were really testing his patience. He was going to try one last time and then it's going to be over for them.

He approached a sleepy blond, who had headphones on.

He was going to ask the boy when suddenly he spoke up with his eyes still closed. "Yeah, yeah. The chair isn't occupied."

He smiled and quickly sat next to the guy.

The guy finally opened his eyes and realized. "Uh- Can I retract my answer?"

*Idiot*

"Hey!"

Jisung's eyes widened on receiving the guy's reaction.

*Wait, you understand me?*

"Yes, I have an elder brother who is deaf, so we all learnt sign language for him."

*That's cool!*

"Yup. But you're not deaf. You're mute, right?"

*That's correct!*

"So, what's your name?"

He showed his notebook to the blond.

'Han Jisung'

"Nice name! I'm Lee Felix."

"Alright, class! Enough talking, now pay attention." The teacher said to the whole class.

"You will be working on a group project which is due next month..." The teacher continued.

"Can we choo-"

"And I will be choosing the groups for you."

The whole class whined in unison.

"Alright, listen carefully... Group number one: Yuna and Alohi," the teacher began calling the names. "...Group number four: Rin and Sarah, group number five: Paris and Jisung,..."

'Gosh. Now who's Paris?'

"What?! There's no way I'm pairing up with that guy!" The girl, whom Jisung saw before his class, stood up and yelled.

"Sit back down, Paris. I'm not changing for anybody." The teacher demanded.

'She's Paris?! Oh no, this is gonna be hard.'
