1: Robbie
Robbie ran his fingers through his dark, curly hair. He tried to imagine his first day of college as a fantasy world that was far off into the future, but unfortunately fantasy caught up to him (as it always did) and now it was time to face judgement. The mirror was still coated with steam from the shower he took, so he wiped a section in hopes of seeing his semi-mediocre face. Robbie put his hands up to his face trying to gather himself. He didn't want people making fun of him, he didn't want to be a loner, and he definetely didn't want to be different. "Try to fit in. Try to fit in." Robbie's eyes widdened. The steam was slowly seeping out of the opening of the bottom of his door and with the new cold breeze he remember that he had forgotten clothes when he came into the bathroom.
Robbie took his towel and wrapped it around his waist. His skinny arms were something of a joke to the all the buff "jocks" at his old school but Robbie didn't really let that flaw bother him. Robbie's room was a few doors down from the bathroom, which was an easy distance to run. He ran as fast as he could and right when he had his hand on the doorknob to his room, his mother called."Roobie, dear. What are you doing?"
"Trying to get dressed mum!"
"You're going to be late! After all I do for you. If you are late for college, you'll be late for everything."
Robbie thought about his next move did he say 1.Well if you would shut up, I could get ready and be on time!.Or 2.Yes, mom. I know. I'm sorry.Robbie decided to go with the latter of the two. "That's what I want to hear. Give your mum a kiss, yeah?"
"Mum...." Robbie HATED giving his mother kisses, it demasculinized him even further than he had already been throughout the years, even though he was only sixteen. She had always embarassed him in front of his old "friends" and they had even sat down and had a discussion about her "maternal nature" at the beginning of the Summer: "Mum, this year, you can't embarass me. This is my last two years of school and...I just need you to do this for me, yeah?"
"So, showing love to your mom is embarassing? If it's that's embarassing, then maybe you should find new friends."
Little did she know how wrong she was. Robbie had never had true friends. In every movie and TV show, friends were something of a mythical concept for him. He could never talk to his "friends" about his problems, he could never talk to them about anything because their conversations mostly consisted of awkward mumbling. "They're the best I can get. Just PLEASE do this for me. Please."
"Fine, I promise, I won't embarass you in front of your friends for the entirety of your time in college."

Robbie wondered if his mother actually remembered anything he ever said. Robbie loved her but she was always so unpredictable.
Robbie reluctantly kissed his mother on the cheek. After the horrible act, he looked around his house making sure there were no hidden cameras and no paparazi. The moment that Robbie had finished scoping out any Big Brother activity, he escaped into his room. He tried to find a sufficent T-shirt to wear but all of them seemed really heinous. He threw on a shirt that had a skull on the front of it. "No, too goth." He found another shirt laying on the top of his closet with a flambioent unicorn on it..."Yeah, that'll be perfect." Robbie mumbled to himself. He tried on another shirt. "Too plain."
"ROOBIE! HURRY UP!" His mother yelled with her commanding manly voice.
"FOR FUCKSAKES!" Robbie threw on the too plain T-shirt, underwear, jeans, and then scrambled out of his room. While running out to the living room, Robbie hopped on one foot while trying to slip both socks onto his feet. His mom was already outside starting up the car. "Wait!" Robbie called out. His mom always did that, she thought it was hilarious. After faking Robbie out, he jumped into the passenger side of the car with his backpack over his shoulder.
