Caiden woke up in cold sweat. He looked around, he was back in his room. His present room. He buried his face in his hands.

"Was that all just a dream?" he said to himself.

He rubbed his hands together only to feel pain in his right hand. He looked at it and saw a bruise on it. The memory of him knocking his hand on the sink of his future home came flooding back into his brain. He ran his hand through his hair in frustration.

"I don't believe it; I won't believe it." Caiden's heart never stopped racing. How could he marry the girl he despised, the girl he found annoying, the girl who he never even thought about being together with. He tried to calm down, but he couldn't.

"Caiden, are you up? It's already 7:30 am! Don't you need to get to work?" Mrs Aikin called from the other side of the room. "CRAP!" Caiden cried before jumping out of bed only to fall on his face with a loud 'thump'.

"I'LL BE RIGHT THERE MOM! GIVE ME A SECOND!" Caiden shouted from his room.

He ran into his bathroom to do his necessary morning routine. He rinsed his toothbrush, squeezed toothpaste on it and shoved it into his mouth. While brushing his teeth, he ran to his closet and pulled out a long black sleeve button up shirt and light brown pants. After throwing them on the bed he ran back to the bathroom to rinse his mouth. Since it was late, he didn't have time to take his morning shower, so he'd have to just deal with it today. He quickly changed into the outfit he laid out, took his phone, and ran downstairs. He grabbed a granola bar from the cupboard, opened it and quickly put it in his mouth. He clutched his backpack, took out his shoes and socks, grabbed the car keys and went out of the house. He was hopping on one foot to put on his shoe as he went towards the car. After getting in, he quickly drove off. Within 15 minutes, he reached his destination. He looks at the time, 8:15 am. He only had 5 minutes to get into the office without getting a lecture by his boss. He rushed out of the car and started speed walking towards the office. He'd only taken less than 10 steps when he bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" A female voice exclaimed.

Caiden looked down, and it was the girl he wanted to avoid for the rest of his life.

"Caiden? What are you doing here?" Sadie said to him.

She was wearing a black collar t-shirt with blue and white lining on the collar and sleeves, loose knee length light brown pants that looked like a skirt and tied her hair into low pigtails. Caiden instantly regretted picking the outfit he was wearing, they were matching. He forced a smile onto his face.

"Hi Sadie, I would really love to stay and chat but I'm running late for work, so I've got to run." Caiden said and ran off without another word. As he ran off, Sadie stared at his figure slowly disappearing with a look of confusion.

When he got to work, he sighed a huge sigh of relief. Suddenly, a throat cleared behind him. Caiden winced and turned around. His boss stood behind him with a hard glare.

"Good morning, Aikin." He said coldly.

"G-good morning s-sir." Caiden stuttered.

"Had enough sleep?" His boss sarcastically said. Caiden laughed nervously. "Ha-ha, what makes you think that?" He squeaked. "The creases on your shirt tells me that you did." His boss said without batting an eye. "Caiden looked down at his shirt and indeed, there were creases on it. He silently cursed under his breath.

"Come with me to my office." His boss instructed.

Caiden's head hung low. He looked at the time, it was 8:22 am. Caiden knew his boss is the type to be exactly on time. He scowled under his breath. This wouldn't have happened if he didn't bump into Sadie, she just had to be the cause of this problem. Caiden made a mental note to add three more points to Sadie's annoyance level as he walked into his boss's office.
