Chapter 2 "First night at the new house!"

It was a long drive to the new house, probably 7 hours from the old one; but nonetheless, they had to go to a McDonalds for dinner. Tigry focused on the road, multiple cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles filled the roads with their blaring beeps; it nearly drove him mad, but took one look at Pony; his hair was loose and to their shoulders, their clothing still being worn and a blanket was on him, he looked so peaceful when asleep. Tigry continued to drive until he saw a big cottage that had wooden walls, roof tiles brown as soil, the door red as cherries, and the garage dull and grey as a donkey. "Babe, we're here; wake up." Tigry whispered as he shook Pony, no reply from them, "He must be asleep. ." Tigry thought smiling warmly. Quietly, he took the boxes out of the boot of the car and loaded them into where the kitchen would be, and got back outside to carry Pony over his shoulder to the room that hopefully had a water bed atleast; the steps on the stairs creaked and groaned like a dying fish gasping for air, "They could use some help." Tigry muttered to himself as he continued up the stairs with his Boyfriend over his muscled shoulder. Finally after getting confused on which room to go in, he settled Pony onto a mattress, "Not close to a water bed but It'll do for now." Tigry said to himself, covering Pony's body with the same blanket Pony had in the van; He shivered with cold and look around for the source, and saw an open window that allowed cold air to enter. "Whoever sold this house to us, obviously doesn't give a shit about hypothermia." Tigry thought, he got up and walked over to the window, gripped onto the handle and pulled it. He sighed and looked back at Pony, still sound asleep; Tigry chuckled lightly and laid next to the mattress, a hand behind his head, the other on his stomach and sighing quietly but deeply; He looked at Pony for the last time before closing his eyes and into. . . . A dream. . ?
