In the morning Sunghoon and I had been fairly quiet. Both of us just laying in bed for an extra half an hour before we had gotten out of it. Moving slowly and giving each other small smiles.
"Here, let me," Sunghoon murmured, reaching over and grabbing my skirt from the floor.
He quickly got up from the bed, not minding his shirt of loose belt hanging over the back of a chair he passed. Within seconds he stood in front of me, arms and skirt extended. I simply looked up at him for a few seconds, blinking once or twice before I got up on my feet.
"Tired?" he chuckled as I grabbed onto his shoulders to keep my balance once I lifted one foot to step into the skirt.
"It was an interesting night, wasn't it?" I murmured in return as he gently bent down to make it easier for me to step into the skirt with my second leg.
"Perhaps," he hummed quietly and tugged it up towards my waist, trying the front laces of the skirt first, "but I think it was handled correctly. It's best for Jungwon to know, even though Jay desperately have tried to keep it hidden."
"I feel bad for her," I admitted and picked up the two other laces, turning my back to him and extended them backwards.
"I get that," he hummed quietly and grabbed the laces from me to help tie the skirt properly, "but that is all in the past... and it is not something we're doing anymore. You have no need to worry."
"I still do. Just because you don't do it anymore, does not mean it doesn't have any effect on her now," I reminded as I turned back around and he picked up my belt.
"You know... I think we should let the case go and let Jiyeon and Jungwon figure it out among themselves," he pointed out and I nodded quietly as he wrapped the belt around my waist and gently secured it for me. My arms automatically raising up to shoulder height.
"You're probably right," I nodded quiety and let my arms drop once he finished attaching my belt.
"I probably am," he snickered in amusement and wandered over to grab his shirt and belt as well, "so... tell me miss Soo, how do you prefer my shirt? Tugged or un-tugged?" he questioned in amusement as he pulled on his shirt and grabbed his belt. The sleeves flowing softly around his forearms as they moved around.
"Both looks good to me," I shrugged and reached under my pillow to grab my turqoise stone, which Jiyeon had given me.
"That might be, but I care about what you think, Love. I need to look good for you," he reminded with a small smile as I wandered over to him.
"Tugged," I simply replied and pecked his cheek gently, "I'll see you out for breakfast. I'm too hungry to wait for you."
"Alright," he nodded as I patted his shoulder and wandered out of the Captain's Quarters and out onto deck.
This morning Jake and Sunoo had made breakfast for us, thought it was only Jake, who were dishing up the food for us. Sunoo seemed to be way to busy to help. Standing a bit away, murmuring something to Lin, who was sitting hip to hip with Jiyeon. On the short span of the side of the boxes on the ship sat four people, pressed together and chatting. It was quite impressive actually, but I had a hunch of why it was.
On the other side of Jiyeon sat a very quiet Jungwon, who kept on glancing up at Jiyeon while he nibbled at his breakfast. Part of Jiyeon's skirt was draped over his lap, possibly one of her legs under it, as the space between Jungwon and Lin was impossibly not big enough to fit Jiyeon properly. He was constantly scanning her face with concern on his own.
I chuckled in amusement before wandering over to Jake, who quietly handed me a plate of breakfast. Sending me a small smile as he nodded over towards the four youngsters I had been watching a few moments before.
"Been like that all morning," Jake remarked and I looked over my shoulder to watch the four once again.
"Do you know why?" I frowned in confusion and looked back at Jake.
"Sunoo mentioned something about taking matters into their hands," Jake shrugged, "I think he believes he and Lin can help them back on track. But Jungwon's been quiet the entire time, only Jiyeon has been talking with them."
"You know how worried he can get," I reminded as Sunghoon rushed over and grabbed the plate Jake barely even had lifted up to him. Sunghoon's other hand landing on the lower part of my back before it slid over to rest on my hip.
"You can eat breakfast alone, right?" he questioned quietly and I nodded.
"It's fine. I'll eat with you. The rest have eaten anyways," Jake assured with a small smile and Sunghoon immediately shook his head.
"We've been over this," I gently reminded Sunghoon and he shook his head once again before looking back up at Jake.
"You need to come with me up to Jay, we need to talk about something," Sunghoon corrected and pointed up towards the helm, "it's important."
They had almost immediately left me standing in confusion, before Sunghoon had halted halfway up the steps. He quickly turned around and rushed a few steps down again, rushing back to me. In a swift moment his hand gently caressed my waist while he leaned in and pressed a kiss against my cheek.
"You don't need to worry," he reminded softly, "I'm not gonna get him thrown off the ship. We just need his help with something."
"Okay..." I trailed off and watched as he smiled widely and rushed back up to the helm with his breakfast in hand.
In silence I found a place to sit down and eat my breakfast, watching as Sunghoon was pointing something out to Jay in the distance. Pointing at Jake every once in a while as Jake had his hands on his hips and nodded, explaining something every once in a while.
When Jay had fixated his eyes on something ahead of him, frowning in concern I hadn't been able to help it and look in the direction as well. Somewhere out in the far horizon a ship was growing larger. Slowly but surely approaching our direction.
I had only just gotten up from where I sat and stared harshly at the ship when Jay had yelled out from the helm.
"Girls under the deck, it's the Flottante in the horizon!" Jay yelled out and Jungwon quickly got up from where he sat as Jiyeon whipped her head to look over her shoulder. Leaving Sunoo and Lin to sit in confusion.
"What does that mean?" Sunoo yelled out as Jay yanked at the roar and attempted to turn the ship quickly.
"Bad news, but not the worst," Jay yelled back as Sunghoon and Jake rushed back down on deck to find something up in the front.
"Rivals," I quickly excused and Sunoo nodded as he ushered Lin up on her feet.
"I'm not going down under the deck, I want to help," Lin quickly started rambling as she fought her out of Sunoo's gentle grip.
"Jay pass me a sword!" I yelled up to the helm as he looked down at me in dismay.
"Take it with Sunghoon!" he yelled in return as Jungwon had abandoned Jiyeon to crawl up into the Crow's Nest as Jungwon himself rushed up to Jay and digging into the box behind him.
Everything was happening so quickly as the ship in the horizon was approaching steadily.
And I was still without a sword or any way of protecting myself.
