In the middle of October that same year the weather took a drastic turn. By the last week of the month it had rained nearly non-stop and for two days a thunderstorm had roared above the town. Most people resorting to finding warmth inside by the fire, even the bakery had cut down on it's morning routes - only delivering fresh bread to the ones that had managed to fight through the rain and down to the bakery to place an order.

On one particular day Soomin sat by the front desk and picked at the feather on the small quill they had at the front, to make everything look a bit more fancier than it actually was. The bell above the door rang out its soft chimes as the wind hooted outside and the rain tried to race inside along with the one daring costumer that had entered the bakery.

"My, my sir. You sure don't fear the weather," Soomin chuckled and got up from her chair and grinned widely at the hooded man that had rushed in and made sure to close the door tightly behind him.

"Yeah... it was urgent," Sunghoon excused and swiped off his hood and ending Soomin a cheeky grin once he noticed the dismayed smile on her face, "come on... don't look at me like that. I came here specifically for you."

"You don't say," Soomin chuckled, "no sane man would wander out into that weather without fearing for his well-being."

"Sorry," Sunghoon grinned shepishly and walked up to the counter and looked over the baskets of bread on the wall behind Soomin, "but I did want to come in and buy something."

"And what might that be?" Soomin snickered in amusement as Sunghoon only grinned down at her before leaning his palms on the table between them.

"Two very important things," he sternly excused and held up two fingers. Soomin nodded quietly and folded her hands in front of her. Interlacing her fingers with one another, "mom insists I go to this Christmas Ball... and I can't dance for the life of me. You need to teach me."

"What makes you believe I can dance?" Soomin smugly questioned.

"Don't act like I didn't see you and Sunoo dancing around when cleaning the kitchen at Jiyeon's wedding," Sunghoon sneered playfully as Soomin slowly nodded, "I'll pay you."

"You don't have to," Soomin assured and shook her head quietly, "when will you want to learn how to dance?"

"Right now," he stated and Soomin blinked a few times, "which leads me to number two. I need a freshly baked apple pie by the time I leave here."

"We have fresh pies from this morning," Soomin shook her head and pointed out towards the back, "Lin came over and helped decorate them. Different design for each pie, you can pick whichever you'd like."

"The pie needs to work as a coverup for me," Sunghoon shook his head quickly, "it needs to be warm once I leave here. I need to tell mom that you had to bake a new apple pie and that's why it took so long."

"Alright," Soomin let out a small sigh, "I'll help you dance and once we're done I'll go out and throw one of the pies into the oven real quick. Would that be alright?"

"Just fine. I just need it to be warm," Sunghoon nodded as Soomin walked over on the other side of the desk.

"I can't help you dance to music, but you can at least learn the steps," Soomin sighed heavily, "I don't suppose anyone else is mad enough to walk out in this weather just to get bread. So we'll do it down here.

And so she began her hopeless quest. Teaching Sunghoon how to dance. It wasn't that he was terrible at moving around in a rhythmical manner, quite on the contrary. The problem was moreso his formal dancing, which looked more awkward than gentlemanlike.

Soomin quietly guided Sunghoon through the only dance she knew comfortably. It was an old one, which for sure would be danced in most balls she knew of. However, Sunghoon didn't complain being taught, what he knew to be, a peasant dance. In all honesty Sunghoon just enjoyed being able to dance around with Soomin as she softly hummed the melody of the songs.
