Willow POV
To illustrate my explanation, I had to go back to the beginning, of that previous misadventure I had to endure. It was a normal Friday afternoon, and it just so happens that Javi invited me to his house for a snack, but I also didn't count that Javi had a big family of five, of which Javi was the third member.
I was nervous at first, due to my bullying experience in my previous hometown, but due to the hospitality and kindness of that huge family, I felt right at home, Aunt Riley even made friends with Mrs. Martinez, and I struck an acquaintance with the girls too. Vanessa was one of them and the most eager to see me. After a while, Mr. Martinez showed us his tools for his duties, even a book about demons he faced.
I quickly turned to Javi as though it was his idea, I mean, it kinda was now that I think of it.
"I thought your dad was a spiritual healer!" I whispered.
"Well he is," Javi answered, "He is also what we call an exorcist..."
Something about that word intrigued me.
"isn't that the name of a horror movie?" I asked him.
Javi laughed.
"Sí it is, but maybe this visit will help you," Javi suggested," I may not know what you've been up to with this show lately, but maybe I can help."
Just then, Vanessa appeared with a flamboyantly cute tote bag. The bottom was white, but the top and it's handle were of my favorite color: Lilac. It even had a yellow star in it's center, and a multicolored flower on the side.
" I've made this for you." She stated, "for whatever adventures you might have."
I held it, then hung it on my shoulders.
"It's beautiful and it fits," I replied, "thank you Vanessa!"
Some time after we ate our snack, I went into Mr. Martinez's healer room to find out more of what are the objects he spoke of. I was creeped out, but at the same time amazed by the contents featured in that locations, including bottles of medicines that could cure any ailments, and also a huge book with a pentagram on it. The book warned me not to read its dreadful contents, but curiosity got the best of me.
I found out that some were kings, and Marquis, and they all connected to the underworld, which tied my stomach up in knots. I was about to read it further when I heard Aunt Riley's voice.
"Willow, it's time to go soon!"
"Coming auntie!" I replied.
I flipped another page of the book, three names was written in bold letters:
BAEL
PAIMON
BALAM
"What are those names?" I thought, "If only there was something I could use to write these down."
Just then, I realized something was in the bag. What I found in it however, took me by surprise.
"The journal?! How--"
Suddenly my aunt's voice interrupted my thoughts, as I closed that farfetched book, and exited the same way I came.
When I came home, I raced up the stairs towards the attic, and slammed the trap door behind me. Apparently, I was breathing so fast that I gasped for air, first it was all those demonic drawings and texts, and now this? Suddenly, I heard loud thudding approach from below, I was immediately scared, and hoped the thudding would stop.
What appeared however was a creature worse than I've imagined. It had undead bony features with the ribcages showing, along with white coverings for eyes, and bare sharp teeth. That was when I realized, this demon was one of the three that I researched: Balam.
I tried to crawl away from the creature, but it kept gaining on me, but then it clued me in on who this demon might be possessing. But it was too late for me to say anything, everything went pitch black.
The next thing I knew, I was hanging from somewhere, and below me, was the butcher. It didn't take a genius to find out where I was, with the walls painted bright red, and the dancing meat, I was in the butcher shop.
"NNgh, what's going on, why am I here?"
Amanda then sighed in psychotic relief.
"aaah, you're awake," now the fun can really begin..."
Now this was starting to make sense, Amanda was acting erratically because Balam was taking over her body, I had to figure out a way for her to come to her senses.
"Before I die," I said," I'd like to know something."
The demonic girl chuckled.
"Oh? And what might that be?"
I breathed deeply.
"Which is the real Amanda the Adventurer," I said, "The one that always seen the world with such kindness and joy, or this psychotic husk of a person, you have become?"
I saw Amanda growl, but then her malice faded for a while.
"I'm no monster Willow," she said, "They set me up!"
I got angry.
"WHO?! WHO'S THEY?!"
Suddenly my bell on my neck glowed bright enough to send Amanda and the demon flying out the window, but I was still stuck in that shop, so I did what any sheep would do... and the rest? You already know...
