Riley POV

I was in shock while hearing my niece's story, but I sensed she might be onto something we don't know.

"So that's why Amanda's acting the way she is," Wooly said, "we gotta get to the bottom of this!"

It was decided that to stop the demon possessing Amanda it was required that we watched her behavior closely and intense puzzle-solving, we even high-fived to seal our pact. But before we could go anywhere, we heard someone cough, or clear their throat. It was the butcher.

Willow POV

I let out an exclamation. Surely neither of us expected the butcher out of all people to come out of his original post, behind his counter and chopping meat.

"What do you want?" I asked him politely.

The butcher reached his arms behind his back, and after a minute or two rustling he pulled out the same bag that Javi's sister Vanessa made for me before I got here. He has no mouth but due to magic, or some other anomalies, I was somehow able to understand what he was saying.

"Thank you for retrieving my bag, but I have a question: Why are you here?" I asked.

"Balam trapped me here," he said, "among  many other innocent souls." He responded glumly.

As if that wasn't enough, the dancing meat on the walls, started speaking too.

"We were paralyzed."

"We were transfixed."

"We gave in to its power."

My awful premonitions were correct, all of those dancing objects and plants, were more and more of the demon's victims.

"Well," I said, "that demon won't keep us in this damnation forever, especially because I've seen the damage it has done, and now Amanda is its vessel. Stopping it from controlling her, is the only way to escape..."

Suddenly Wooly shyly stepped forward.

"Yeah, I knew Amanda isn't acting the way she is, baaa" he bleated, " she planned to take my life multiple times."

Finally, the butcher said that Wooly and I were the only beacons of hope to save them from the demonic occurrences that were happening in this town, because we had something the demon can't understand, and we had to strengthen it, to fight it, but before the butcher could reveal what it was, the screen suddenly glitched making us all embrace each other. We blushed hard when we realized what we had done. But when we opened our eyes we saw the butcher's body but its head was placed on top of the chopping block, with crosses in his eyes.

Dead.

"This is worse than we thought!" Aunt Riley screamed

I looked frantically at my aunt.

"We need to get outta here, now!"

Wooly and my aunt had no choice but to agree, but then something happened. I gasped as I felt the palm of Wooly's hoof clench to mine, before I could even react, we ran out of the store before we could befall the same fate, in that case, it was every man or sheep for himself.

"We've... escaped..." Wooly panted, still holding my hand.

"Yeah, but we can't fight a demon, what're we gonna do?"

After a moment of thought, I had just the plan.

"We need to up our game, bahaha," I advised, " and I know just the guy," I said, taking the bottle of holy water from my tote bag, making Wooly nervous.

"Javi's bottle of Holy Water, how'd it get here?"

"Wait a minute, did you say Javi?" Wooly asked.

"Yes! He's the son of a curandero or spiritual healer, in Kensdale, why?"
