I was on my phone Chilling till my mom knocked on my door

"Come in" l smei- yelled as my mom came in my room

"Why you have this door close?" She said

"Sorry mom"

"Well anyway l wanted to talk to you something" she sat down on my bed

"What's up?" I sat up on my bed putting my phone aside

"Well you know l have been dating Chris for a while and we are really getting serious" She told me

"Wow really? I said

"Yes and l want you to meet him" she smiled

"Oh ok l am happy for you mom and sure l would be glad to meet him" l told her

"Oh good thanks baby" she hugs me

"Ok can you promise me you will be nice to him when you meet him?" She let me go

"Yes be l promise so when am l meeting him?" I asked

"Tomorrow"

"Tomorrow? Mom" l said shocked

"I know l know l kinda threw this on you last minute but we talking about this last night on the phone and l kinda decided this with him that we do it this Saturday" She explained

"This Saturday? Don't you think l am meeting him to fast" l said unsure and nervously

"But you said you didn't mind meeting him tho" mom said

"I know and l still don't mind but it's just you plan this yesterday and-"

"Look l can see that you are nervous about meeting him and you don't have to be because he is nice, sweet and kind guy and he respects and treats me like a queen" she explained

"So don't worry ok because he is nothing like your dad" she said

"Ok mom but l am happy for you tho l mean l haven't seen you this happy in a while and even though l haven't meant him yet but l can tell that he makes you happy" l smiled

"And you make me happy too Aaliyah" she kisses me on the cheek "But yea he does and l really to do like him" she said

"Yea l figured that , l be seeing you skip all around the house" l laughed

"I do not be skipping" she laughed as well

"But anywho he will be coming at six for dinner so keep in mind" she gets up from the bed

"Alright"

"So find something to wear for tomorrow" she said

"Ok mom l got you"

"Alright get some sleep girl" she comes over and kisses me on the forehead

"Ok Goodnight mom" l told her

"Goodnight" she walks out the room and closes the phone behind her

I went back on my phone for a few hours til l got sleepy so l put my phone on the charger and went to sleep

I woke up to my phone ringing by me so l grabbed my phone and took it off the charger and answered it

"Hello?" I said in my sleepy voice

"Hey girl" my best friend, Denise said

"Hey what's up?" I said

"I just wanted to see what you been up to?" Denise asked
