My sister china dropped me off at El Rays after l told her l was going on a date. As l went inside there was hella people in here and it was like a club vibe here too, l never been here before but lucky my sister knew this place so she insisted on taking me here. I went to sit down close to the stage that was in the middle of the club and waited for Michael.
*10 minutes later*
"Where the hell is baby?" I looked around for him
"Yo Yo you ready to get this party started make some noises" l heard a guy said on the stage into the mic
"So tonight is open mic night where people come on here and show us their talent and we have a few people who want to do that tonight" he said on the mic
"So first, we have a person who seen publicly for the first time" he told us
"You know what I'm leaving" l told myself angrily as I got up from my seat
"So I want yeah to give it up for my man Michael Whitfield makes a noise for Michael Whitfield" He shouted a lil
I turned my head towards the stage when I heard his name
"Michael?" l l said confused
Then Michael (baby) comes out from the side of stage and dabs up the guy who announced him on stage
"Omg" l sat down back in seat in shock
As the guy who announced him walks off stage, baby starts walking to the mic and hold the mic that was on the mic stand
"Thanks my everybody uh.. I feel nervous but I appreciate for the opportunity to let come out here. Just let me able to do my thing" he said letting of the mic
No one in the crowd really listening to what he said and I can tell that he was really nervous. I just hope that whatever he's about to do, he can go do it.
*Michael POV*
I turned away from the crowd to calm myself down, because I was too nervous. I mean, I never song in front of everyone before, especially since I know Lauren is in the crowd watching me too, so I can't mess up this, and hopefully the song I will sing will show Lauren what type of man I can be to her.
After a few sec l turned back around to the crowd, grabbing the mic and started to sing
"Oh, she may be weary, them young girls they do get weary, wearing the same saggy dress. Oh yeah when it gets weary , try a little tenderness you know she's waiting. just an anticipate."
