Jesy was the first to open her eyes. She sat up looking around.

"What the hell happened?" She stood up brushing herself off. She began walking around trying to remember what happened. It didn't take long for the memories to come flooding back when she saw the destroyed stage.

"Holy Shit!!" The closer she got to the stage the more bodies she noticed. She gagged seeing the condition the corpses were in. She noticed the festival wristband on her wrist and began looking for her best friend.

She went back to where she was and began looking and calling for her.

"Perrie!!"

"PERRIE!!"

"Can you stop shouting" she heard a quiet voice from under an umbrella stand. She lifted it off of her.

"Are you okay?" She asking helping her up.

"Yeah, I think I just overheated. I'm Jade"

"Jesy. I can assure you, you're not overheated."

"Are you not hot. Look at your arms, were you too close to the pyro?"

"No, I don't think so." Jeys glanced down at her arms. She had a few burns but that was the least of her concerns.

"Well. It was nice meeting you, I gotta go find my friend." Jade began walking off to find her friend.

"Oh me too. Maybe we can look together but you should be careful over there"

"I'll be fi-" Jade stood in place staring at the people lying on the ground. The worst came to her mind and she assumed her best friend was dead. She ran over to the stacked pile of toasted bodies trying to see if one of them was her.

"What does she look like? Or he? I'm looking for my best friend too."

"Um. . . .Um. uh, She's uh. . . I think she's dead. She said she wanted to get closer to the stage. I should've gone with her." She kneeled beside her best friend. Tears falling from her eyes onto the deceased woman's face.

"Leigh-Anne"

"I'm so so sorry. I love you.  I dont know what I'm going to tell your family. They're going to slaughter me. But at least we'll be together again soon."

"Uh Jade. I think we should get out of here."

"Where are we supposed to go! What happened to all these people!?"

"I don't know but look" Jesy pointed up at the helicopters that were circling over the festival plain.

"I can't leave her." Jesy pulled Jade when a droplets began to fall from the sky and she was positive that it wasn't rain.

Jesy hissed in pain as it came into contact with her skin. Jade did the same.

"Come on" Jade stood up following Jesy to a small security booth that they hid in.

Jade and jesy inspected the burn caused by the liquid.
