Okay so for those who haven't known much about Lina, she's one of the oldest adepti. And I don't mean she's like 3k years old no, she's 5,920 years old, almost as old as geo daddy. BUT anyways, for the lore/au? Xiao sees Lina as his mother figure since she helped him during his transition to becoming an adeptus, gently bringing him away from eating snow all the time, helping him when he was confused and also guided him when things seemed confusing.
He doesn't tell this to her ofc, cause he got embarrassed and shamed, while Lina sees her as his son. He doesn't tell her this until years later, when they have a fight after saving the Traveler. And once he does admit it, the ideas make me wanna cry.
For those who didn't read her story, Lina was married and had a son, who sadly died years after her husband due to a plague when she was only 1,005 years old. And knowing that Xiao saw her as a mother made her heart sore in flight, finally healing after years of losing her son and husband to something she couldn't help.
