Chapter 17

Athy walked inside claude's room and saw him sitting on  the bed dazed.

" good morning your majesty... How are you feeling..?" she asked and he turned towards her..

"Athanasia.. Sit here" he said patting the bed... She was surprised as she slowly Sat there

" why did you saved me..? Are you happy now..? I have to live in this hell again thanks to you.." he said.. And she is silent..

" I know I sounds ungrateful for what you did.. But that's how I feel.. I never wanted to live. I am living because I have to.. I chose to become emperor killing my brother, so I have to deal with it to the end.. I thought I can finally be at peace " he said..

"I see.. I don't know .. Then you should continue it to the end.. Like you said.." she said and he stared at her with strange emotions in his  eyes

"I know.. I don't deserve to say it.. But I have to.. I am sorry athanasia.. For everything... If you are wondering why I am suddenly asking... I don't know...

It felt like a vivid dream... But I saw diana.. We talked and I slowly regained all the memories which I erased using blackmagic.. Since you were  born with the  purest mana..it acted to  its full potential against you I think.. Cause as far as I remember whenever I saw your face.. I would feel a sharp headache and intense displeasure for no reason.. That's the main reason I avoided you... And that would fade away when jennete was near me..

I don't know why I was foolish enough not thinking about the reason for that... That's mean she also have black magic.. Heh.. How stupid of me.. I know it won't justify all my actions.. Still.. I wanted to apologise.. You don't have to forgive me."

he said.. When he looked up after saying everything.. His eyes wided in shock as  she is crying

" hic.. I don't wanted to cry in front of you. But.. I can't control.. Yeah.. I won't forgive you.. "

she said getting up.. He looked down sadly feeling intense pain in his heart.. She was about to go out but she stopped

" mom.. What did she said..? "she asked turning back..

" I begged her to forgive me.. Then she said she wants to see you happy so she told me treat you well and beg you until you forgive me.. So I am gonna do that.. "he said..

'she thinks I will forgive you..?' she thought as she walked back... When she came out and walked slowly in that huge empty corridor.. Tears dripped down her cheeks.. When she slowly looked up she saw lucas standing in the corner.. Leaning on the pillar.. He turned towards her and sighed in frustration as he walked towards her.. She stood there staring at him tears dribbling down wetting her cheeks..

" I know you would do this.. Now.. Stop crying.. I Hate it when you cry..don't cry .. OK .? " he said cupping her face and wiping her tears..

She sniffed as she nodded a yes.. He smiled as he gently hold her hand and intertwined their fingers as they walked to the garden..

He made her sit on the bench and gave her water.. He sit beside her silently as she is staring at the sky..

"here.." he said and she looked down and smiled looking at him...

She took the box from him and it had rolled cotton candies .. She took one out and  eat it with a smile..

"hmm.. Just stay like this.. What did he said..?" he asked

" he.. Apologised to me.." she mumbled

"isn't that good..? He atleast said he is  sorry.." lucas said
