THE MEMORY MADE (y/n) wince. Here she was two months later face to face with her best friend, former best friend.

Yuji seemed to understand the tension, as he gave the girl a small smile before leaving the room.

Stepping towards the dining table she sat next to the ravenette.

"Megumi... how are you?"

He stayed quite and took in a sharp breath. (Y/n) felt like she was standing on the blade of a knife, one false move and she would be cut.

"(Y/n)... I missed you."

The (h/c) was taken back to say the least. The was honestly the last thing she was expecting.

"I missed you to gumi... after our last conversation I wasn't sure-"

"Im sorry (y/n), im so so sorry. I really didn't know what i was saying and i just was confused and hurt."

Tears lined Megumi's eyes, regret seeping into every word. He was taking breaths, it was clear he was trying to keep his composure.

"I talked with Gojo and i just didn't understand-"

(Y/n)'s eyes widened, "you talked with Toru? What did that idiot say now?"

Megumi let out a small smile, "he acutely checked me. I realize now you didn't have a choice... being apart of a large clan puts you at their mercy. If Gojo hadn't become my guardian, i might be in the same position with the Zenins..."

His dark blue hues met her (e/c) ones, "i'm so sorry (y/n), I truly apologize."

The girl felt tears weld up in her eyes, "I am the one thats sorry gumi, I shouldn't have lied. I'm... im a monster! You have every right to hate me."

He leaned forward wrapping his arms around (y/n) narrow shoulders.

"I forgive you. You were never a monster (y/n), you are human. We all have to do things for the greater good."

Sharing a long embrace, (y/n) felt heart begin to heal. Relief flooding every pour of her body.

"You jackass, you made me cry for days!"

She said with a small laugh into the crook of his neck.

He laughed as well, "well if it makes you feel any better I tried calling you every day in Alaska... i only found out yesterday from Gojo that you left your phone behind."

Stifling their laughter, they pull each-other in tighter.

"Are we okay gumi?"

"Yeah were okay"
