WAKING UP IN Sukuna's domain was always calming. It made her feel at home, at peace. Yet today was different from any other day, (y/n) hadn't felt their bond at all today. She supposed it was because they were now officially soulmates, so they would no longer feel each-others pain or memories, but their absence was strange.

The familiar red room brought her ease, as did her soulmates arms encircling her. (Y/n) turned back to look at Sukuna, his arms firmly holding her waist. She had a dozen things to tell him, but only one fell out of her mouth.

"Are you okay?"

He tightened his arms at her soft words, mumbling a "yes" into the crown of her hair. He wouldn't tell her of his anxiety, his worry of his current situation. He was having a difficult time waking up in Yuji Itadori's corpse and he wasn't sure why. He was also equally worried about being in a sealed room with Gojo guarding him.

But he needed to he strong, he needed to be the confident king of curses everyone believes he is.

"I'm okay little dove."

(Y/n) was unsure but trusted him, after all this was all for him. Every move and every deal she has made was for the sake of their relationship.

She turns to face him, pulling him into a tight hug. Her warm tears soaking into his white yukata.

"My father died.." She quietly whispered.

He pulls her into a firm hug, slowly caressing her back in order to provide some semblance of comfort.

"I'm sorry (y/n)."

Sukuna thought of (y/n)'s wish to bond with her father and how it was so cruelly stolen from her. He frowned not quite empathizing with his lover but, knowing the pain of loss.

She shook slightly as her tears grew into sobs. It felt like she has cried endlessly for the last few weeks, one event after another causing her pain.

She takes deep breaths as Sukuna continues to soothe her. She clears her mind as she knows the time is now. She tells her soulmate of her plan with Yami and how they needed to escape the moment he regains consciousness. She tells him of her plan to leave tokyo and escape into the country side, to build a life together as lovers.

The king of curse's heart warmed at her words, beginning to believe in their shared dream. He silently vowed to himself to make it a reality.

Taking a breath (y/n) steadies herself. "So in the morning i'll come to you, and we will leave from there. I already have a bag packed for us, we just need to avoid Toru."

A silent worry crosses her face, Sukuna noticing it immediately.

"What about your friends? Those other sorcerers."

(Y/n) just lightly shook her head against his embrace. "They don't matter anymore, all that matters is our escape."

Sukuna frowned at this, saying nothing. He knew if she were to leave without saying goodbye, she would regret it the rest of her life.

Sukuna never knew he could come to worry about another living being as much as he did her. It was a surreal experience.

"Tell me its going to be okay." She whispered, her fear evident in her tone.

"Everything will be okay my love." Sukuna said, unsure if it was the truth.
