Part 14

Readers POV

Once we're back home Loreen dragged me back into her room, making me sit down on the bed as she observed my face, the scratches on my cheek are lightly visible and it made her not feel happy at all. If I knew what was going on I could at least understand her worries, waiting for her finally answering my question.

She sat down beside me, taking a deep breath before she finally started to explain some things to me. „Listen...as you have already noticed that woman is our enemy. She is a vampire and want's nothing more than make our life harder than it already is. You're her target now to make me suffer and I can't and won't let her get near you again." She started and I listened to her, frowning as I still don't understand some things. „But...why? I know werewolves and vampires are not best friends but why is the hate so big? Did something happen?" I needed to know more and Loreen just sighed before she went on.

„We used to be friends when little but our species didn't like each other so we had a hidden friendship...long story short, werewolves and vampires had a fight, including our families. We lost a lot of friends and family members and unfortunately one of my pack members killed some of her people. So she started getting more and more hate for us. It's not my fault of course but she hates all werewolves now and getting you away from me...would be the perfect victory for her."
Finally I could understand why everyone was worried about me and wanted me to stay always with them. I didn't know this was the case so now I understood a bit more.

„We can't hide forever tho! We need and want to live as well. I know it's crazy but I want to live my life happily with you. There must be a way to show her she is not alone, you were friends after all!" I try to convince ver to do something about it but she didn't look very happy about it. „I love you (Y/N) I really do. Just sometimes I wish things were easier for us. Maybe we should have stayed in a long distance relationship..." She answered me and I immediately grabbed her shoulders, looking deep into her eyes before I speak again. „Don't say that! It's not your fault that we have this problem going on. Coming here and being with you is the most beautiful thing I could ever imagine. I don't want anyone else by my side."

I was never being so honest in my life, my hands moving up to Loreen's cheeks, I could see her beautiful golden eyes she always had at night staring back at me. They were tearing up, showing me she worried a lot and it broke my heart. „Don't say anything like that ever again okay? We can do this. And no matter what La Zarra will do next, we can show her that hate always will lose." I say and she finally smiled a little at me again.

„You are right...only love can win." She agreed and we finally closed the gap between us, kissing each other.

The next day we were all in the living room. After we explained what happened yesterday and that I finally know what's going on, Kaarija and Bojan felt bad for letting me go but I immediately make it clear that it wasn't their fault. „Please guys...you were tired and I sneaked out like a stubborn teenager." I stated and made sure they won't feel bad for being tired and honestly...I am not a child they shouldn't feel like it's their fault for not looking what I was doing.

„Yea..but we still fucked up, that vampire could make a meal out of you." Kaarija said, not happy about what happened.

Alessandra on the other hand was shocked about the story. She was a very emotional person so she almost cried as she went over to me, hugging me tightly. „(Y/N)! I am so sorry you came here and now you have to deal with this instead of being happy." She squeezed me a little too tight but I ruffle her hair and just chuckled.

„Alessandra...I am happy. I met you guys and I wouldn't wanna have it any differently. I am happy to be part of you and I will make sure to be more careful. We can make La Zarra one of us...she just needs to...forget the past.." I tried to figure out what to do but honestly it was hard. I hated it so much.

Loreen noticed me thinking a bit too much as she shifted closer to me, wrapping her arm around me. „Listen (Y/N), we should focus on something else for the moment, there is no point in overthinking that situation now. How about only you and me have a nice day today? I don't have any schedules today so we should spend the time for good things what do you say?"

I got a bit irritated about her telling me that, yesterday she sounded like regretting all of this which broke me a little but now she sounded like regretting what she said yesterday night and want to make things good again.
I smile and nod at her. „Sure why not. You're with me after all."
