September 20th, 1955
I have learned much from my first week here. It is now Tuesday, and my second week has just begun. I love it so much! There are so many learning opportunities. I am taking Latin with a girl named Emilia. She is sweet and lonely, just like me. We sit together at mealtimes and go to each other's dorm during our free time. Emilia and I both miss our families so much, but love being here. I am so happy I met Emilia, I think she will help me through the homesickness I am feeling right now.
