"Why are you so smiley?" I look up at Luci, rapidly putting my phone away.
"No reason," I lie.
"I take it the date with Nick went well? You came straight to bed last night, I didn't have the chance to ask."
"It wasn't a date," I say quickly.
Luci scoffs, "Okay...how did it go?"
"It went well," I say, "I don't know entirely if he's not the killer, but I think this is progress towards finding out."
"Well, I hope he's not the killer," Luci says, "Also, your nerdy friend is downstairs."
My mind instantly goes to Mark, before I remember he's dead, "Flynn?"
"Yep, seems impatient."
"Thanks, Luc," I say and scramble out of my bedroom, down the stairs. I spot Flynn instantly, mainly because he's the only person I know with frosted tips. He turns around when he hears me coming down the steps.
"Hey, Morgan," He smiles.
"Hey, Flynn, what's up?"
"Well, first, you never told us what happened at the movie!" Flynn exclaims, "And second, Brianna almost killed me, because she demanded to know what happened at the movie."
"That's the same thing."
"No, one is that I need to know, and the other is the possibility that Brianna's the killer."
I roll my eyes at Flynn, "Dramatic much? Are we meeting them somewhere to talk?"
"At the park, let's go."
...
"So, Nick is definitely the killer," Brianna says.
"No, I just can't tell you all the details, because it's personal. Honestly, the details kind of point to him not being the killer. Things are a little coincidental, but we need to start thinking about if Nick isn't the killer," I say.
"Okay fine, what's the plan?" Brianna rolls her soft brown eyes.
"Well, there's two of them now," I start, "Which means this may be harder."
"Definitely harder," Flynn nods.
"I think the easiest way to catch the killer is at a big event," I say.
"But that always goes badly," Brianna points out.
"When I caught Jamie the first time it was at a church," I say.
"So, what, we should go back to the church?" Chad asks, sitting next to Brianna.
"Not necessarily," I shake my head, "In the church there was this red room and the actual church turned into a labyrinth like thing."
"So wherever their lair is, it's magical?" Flynn asks.
"Yeah, I think so," I nod.
"Okay, then we go exploring around Bookview Valley for magical places?" Brianna scoffs.
"That does sound dumb," I mutter.
"Actually, I may be able to help with that," We all look up to see Nick walking over.
"How?" Brianna raises an eyebrow at him.
"When we were at the movies last night, I got this weird feeling," Nick says.
"So, you are the killer?" Brianna glares at him.
"No, I'm just saying, it felt...different, and it's super new, none of us have completely explored it."
