A beautiful, black-crimsoned peacock spoke in an otherworldly manner. Iris' small figure wasn't compared on how big the bird is.
Realizing from the size differences, it lowered its head down, featuring its golden orbs upon hers.
Iris was bewildered, she couldn't believe that she had summoned her ancestor's familiar, one of the most feared demonic beasts; The Sanguine Peacock.

She snapped out of her thoughts as she noticed her surroundings, realizing everyone was frozen in place. The color of her surroundings went dull, but only sees the red from everyone's Babyls' crest.
It seems time had stopped for the both of them.
"Is this your power, Aureus-sama..?" she looked back at the peacock, having it caught off guard by such statement.
"I'm surprised you know my name, master. And please, call me Aureus. It sounds inappropriate for you to call me in such a way." Iris nodded from her familiar's response, slowly acknowledging her current position as its master.
"To answer your question; Yes, the space you are in now is what I call; Cruentio. My magic allows my master's surroundings to be interrupted, but only master can move within the space itself. The downside of this power is that it will cost a lot of blood from you." It pointed its claws onto her finger, tracing the once small cut that's now been healed.
"It seems that the mana in your blood is a lot more dense & nourished than the rest, making it possible for you to activate my powers right after you summon me.." Iris' eyes widen as she heard her familiar's words, she held onto her hand as she slightly put her head down.
"As such, we can only converse within this space for a matter of time depending on the amount of mana that's in your blood. The higher quality, the better." The peacock said as it bowed down until it reaches her head level.
Iris stood still silently as she slowly realized that the peacock wasn't even supposed to speak. It was said in the manuscripts that familiar's could only express their thoughts through emotions, not by mouth.
"...How are you able to speak, Aureus? From what I've known, Familiars or Magic Beasts aren't able to communicate with their masters, but through feelings." she looked Aureus in the eyes, still mesmerized by its tinted golden hue.
