Two Weeks Later
Third Person's Point of View
A few weeks after the incident, Rain and Ple were both able to go back to school. The female omega was hesitant to come back at first, but after a ton of reassurance from Rain, she was able to garner enough confidence again to show herself in the university again.
However, it wasn't easy. After the traumatic experience, Ple locked herself in her room for a week and made his whole family worry as she didn't even touch any of the food that they served to her. Som was in total panic when a week later, he forced her sister's door open and saw her lying on the floor, unconscious. He called the Tangwais for help and luckily, the younger omega was in a more stable condition already.
Rain decided to stay with Ple for three days after the omega was confined in the hospital for dehydration, making her body weak. Once she regained consciousness, the first person that she saw was Rain, turning her into a crying mess. The smaller omega comforted her and reassured her that he's in a good condition now so she doesn't have to feel guilty at all.
Sky also knew about the incident from that night when Prapai came over his house after dropping off Ple into their house. The omega had an anxiety attack, making Prapai regret his decision to inform the other about his friends' conditions.
He insisted on seeing both of his friends but was adviced by Prapai that Rain and Ple are still not stable for him to see them. Sky agreed after calming himself down, not wanting to add to his friends' stress. He made the alpha promise him that once both of the omegas are fine, he will be the first one to know.
This then lead to Prapai, calling Sky immediately once he got the news of Ple being confined in the hospital. The omega got out of the university as fast as he could and didn't wait for his suitor to pick him up. His friends and the whole class were stunned when he suddenly got up from his chair and left the room without any word. He hailed a cab and frantically told the driver to drop him off at the hospital where Ple was in.
Once he got there, he quickly asked the front desk about a patient with the name Ple Chayarin Rattisak, and was informed that his friend was confined in a private room. He thanked the nurse and walked towards his friend's room.
Sky calmed himself down for a moment, noticing that his scent was filled with worry and distress. He didn't want to add to his friend's condition. A few deep breaths later, he finally twisted the doorknob and entered the room.
His eyes became glued to Ple who was sleeping in the bed, looking so thin and tired. He slowly headed to her and didn't notice the people around his friend. Som just patted Sky's back before leaving the room with his parents. The omega sat beside the bed and held Ple's hands gently and teared up as he felt her hands feel cold and thin.
"Ple.. oh my god, Ple.." He whispered softly and held Ple's hand closer to his cheek. "I'm sorry.. I wasn't there to protect the both of you.. I'm sorry.." He cried as he looked at his friend pitifully.
He turned his head to the door weakly and his eyes widened when he saw his other friend standing there. Sky looked at Rain with unbelieving eyes and teared up once more. He gently pulled the omega into a hug, ignoring the alpha that came with him. All Sky wanted right now is to stay with both of his friends and never let them out of his sight.
Their hug lasted for a few minutes as both omegas cried into each other's arms. Rain comfortingly patted his best friend's back, reassuring him that he was now feeling alright. At the back of Sky's mind, he was upset with himself for not being there with his friends and felt really afraid for them, given that he has also experienced that kind of situation in the past.
