Prologue: Leaving the Shadow

[Location: Las Almas, Mexico]

[3rd P.O.V.]

(Shadow Company has failed to eliminate 1-4-1, General Shepherd went dark after the truth was revealed by Laswell...

After Los Vaqueros and 1-4-1 took back Alejandro's base, the survived members from Shadow Company were seen being taken to the prison...

One shadow after another, the mercenaries were getting stripped their gears off, some tried to rebel but no avail, others tried to persuade them, but they didn't budge...

A small group were waiting for their turn, except for a certain soldier with a painted Oni mouth on his mask)

Shadow-1: "Dayum...Commander's dead, the general left us and now we're stuck in this desert."

Shadow-2: "It's not a desert...we're getting imprisoned inside the same jail cells where we held Los Vaqueros..."

Shadow-3: "1-4-1 are no jokes...we shouldn't have betrayed them in the first place." *looks at Velikan* "Any thoughts, Mega?"

(His group look at their mute soldier codenamed; Velikan or Megalith, his real name is actually Y/N L/N, one of the deadliest soldier from Shadow Company...

The said soldier was just staring at the mexican special forces taking his soon-to-be former teammates inside the prison...

He couldn't speak, not because he can't talk, it was because he doesn't even trust his own company, he just stared what he's witnessing right now)

Shadow-4: "Guess he won't budge to answer your question, it's only a matter of time we're getting imprisoned."

Shadow-1: "Why can't we just fight?! We're not even handcuffed!"

Shadow-2: *scoffs* "With what weapons? They took our guns, including Velikan's Trencher and Excavator."

Shadow-4: "Stop with the sassy attitude, soldier. We're already fucked up, don't make it worst."

Shadow-3: *sees Velikan walking towards his guns* "Uh...guys?"

Shadows: "What?"

(One of them was staring Velikan grabbing his weapon as he was checking his ammos)

Vaquero: "¡Hoy! [Hey!] What are you doing?!"

(One of Alejandro's men spotted the full black armored soldier his LMG and Desert Eagle...

As they were pointing their weapons at him, Velikan did not flinch, he was just minding his business)

Shadow-1: "Hey! What the fuck are you doing?!"

Shadow-4: "Are you really going to go up against this many soldiers?!"

(The said soldier ignored his question, he wrapped his LMG behind his back and holsters his Desert Eagle on his right thigh...

He then turns away from Alejandro's men and started to walk towards the exit, walking past his now former teammates, making the whole group shocked by his decision)

Shadow-3: "W-Wait! Are you leaving us?!"

Shadow-2: "Velikan! You can't be serious!"
