Three,

Avery's POV

I heard the door open without even giving any notice that she was coming in. I also heard her footsteps approaching my bed.

Wakey wakey, princess Ry!" she greeted me cheerfully. Even though I couldn't see her, I knew she was smiling.

I hate the way she addresses me. Princess Ry? Where did that lame nickname even come from?

I groaned, What the hell, Manang! irita kong tugon dahil sa ginawa niya.

"Naku!

She is the only person who is not afraid of me.

But apparently, It wasn't complete.

"Just leave my things there and get out." Walang emosyong ani ko.

She just smiled at me before leaving my room. She has been taking care of me ever since my mom passed away when I was 3 years old, and whenever my dad is not around for work. Manang Delia is already old, and she practically took care of my mom when she was young. She is kind and never gets tired of looking after me, but I can't seem to reciprocate the kindness she has shown me. You can't blame me for being cold; this is just how I was born.

I headed straight to the bathroom to complete what needed to be done. After drying off, I reached for my uniform, a combination of gray and red. My blouse is plain white, and my jacket is a soft shade of red paired with a gray necktie. Same with my skirt, which is a matching gray.

The only problem is that the skirt is too short. My skin is being exposed too much.

Amelia is different. But when she was alive, I loved gazing at her face because of how angelic it was.

As usual, wala si dad. And, to be honest, I don't care. The only thing that matters to me is finding my twin sister's murderer.

I take a quick glance at my shoes before I leave the house. It's not just a simple sandal; it has a hidden weapon embedded in the heel. I'm just being careful about what may happen on this first day. Hindi basta-bastang ordinary ang school na 'yon. It's a school for gangsters.
