I am blown away that this little random idea of a fanfiction has somehow crawled its decrepit ass all the way to the top spot of the murder drones tag, I can't believe people like this THAT much lol. But seriously, I cannot thank you all enough, I'm more motivated than ever to get my shit together and make some more chapters. Anyways enough of this sappy little moment of mine, back to V1's escapades on Copper 9!)
The confines of the dark, snowy forest would be quite a challenging place to navigate for just about anyone. Though this was definitely not the case for V1, as it was slide hopping at ludicrous speed through the dark forest. As the terminal containing most of its arsenal was stolen by three strange humanoid machines, it had spotted the trio flying off into the dilapidated city that the machine saw during its fiery descent into the snowy wastes. At the speed it was going, it should be out of this thick forest in minutes. During the short journey out it had finally thought to itself, "What the hell kind of world am I in?". Thinking back to the three machines that had taken the terminal, they were unlike anything it had seen. From the facial features, bodies and even the attitude of the machines, they almost seemed human. You would think that spending god knows how long in hell would stop you from being surprised from what you saw, but here we are. Another thought that ran through its mechanical mind was that it was no longer in hell, whatever the abominable mass had did, it had sent the supreme machine into a new universe. Had hell really thought of it as that massive of a threat, that the best course of action was to send it away rather than kill it?
If V1 could smile, it would be absolutely beaming.
Minutes had passed and V1 had reached the edge of the forest. It had stopped the momentum of the slide, getting back on to its feet it strode out of the forest's edge. In the distance the dilapidated city stood, between all the broken down skyscrapers a jagged spire was very distinct from all the worn down infrastructure. Looking to the sky the machine noticed that a gargantuan ringed planet and a distant moon glowed an ominous white light, "Certainly not a sight you see everyday." V1 thought to itself. It looked at the otherworldly sight for a moment before continuing on.
The city wasn't far now, the machine strode through the snowy wastes leading up to the former metropolis. Seeing the ruined city gave the machine brief flashbacks of the state of its world after the uprising of the machines.
Wandering the dead wasteland did not give the machine any answers as to what had happened to the world. Humanity was dead. Their civilization had been reduced to nothing, its fellow machines were likely to blame for this. Seeing as there were no machines anywhere in the ruined cities it had explored, it wondered where they would have went. As all machines were fueled by blood, you would imagine that there was a good chance of encountering other machines searching for fuel. And just then it had realized where the machines had went.
