A sickening squelch rang out through the dark vents of the colony. Though this was unheard to most, the solver ripped into the corpse of the miserable machine that had the misfortune of encountering it. Rummaging it's mechanical claws through the intricate parts of the mutilated drone provided some much needed material to reform serial designation J. With oil staining it's grotesque form it began constructing more tools to aid in it's quest.

The horrific form of the eldritch creature grew a sizable amount after consuming a single pitiful worker, taking advantage of it's new capabilities it evolved to use a holographic projector. Judging how utterly foolish that first worker was, this crude tool would undoubtedly still prove useful in collecting more material. Dragging it's form through the vents, it was searching for a suitable area to deploy it's new tool.

Looking out through a vent cover, something emanated a dim light through it. Carefully removing the cover with a clawed appendage, it revealed some sort of a hallway. A vending machine gave off that light, deciding to test the holographic projector here the lovecraftian abomination extended out one of it's many mechanical eyes. The eye projected a hologram of the the drone it had consumed earlier.

Suddenly a voice was heard outside of it's field of vision, "Janitor bot 5000? is that you?" It spoke to the façade of the drone it was projecting. "We've been looking for you all day, you just kinda took off." It continued. The hologram seemed to scream in pain, the abomination felt the lingering conscience of the drone try and fight back for control. This proved to be a futile struggle as the eldritch being easily took over once again.

"Hey Tim. Mind joining me over here?" The eldritch abomination spoke through the hologram, "Join you while you stand suspiciously in low resolution?" He asked. "Sure!" He added.

"How utterly foolish." The abomination thought to itself, the intelligence of these workers thus far would make even the most braindead of beings look like the brightest minds who had ever lived. Seizing the opportunity, the solver called upon a scythe like appendage. As the drone strode closer and closer, the solver broke through the vent with its gargantuan appendage. Before the drone could even react, it had already been impaled by the scythe. Retracting its appendage quickly, it brought the body up into the vent. It began devouring the corpse, the solver added it's consciousness as another thing to be used as a projection.

"With each of you that fall, I shall rise."

The three drones ran off as fast as their legs could take them. If they could warn everyone, maybe just maybe no one would die. They were at the school now, "There's a parent teacher conference happing right now!" Thad shouted out, "Are you serious!?" Uzi yelled back. If that was the case then they really needed to get these workers out of here now. Everyone was in danger and they had no idea that they were.

Voices could be heard, N stopped the two drones running with him from continuing any further. "What the hell N-" Uzi was cut off by N bringing his palm over her mouth. Looking around the corner, there were other workers down the hall. While they were here to warn everyone, Uzi and N weren't exactly supposed to be inside the colony at the moment thanks to the little incident a a couple of days ago. Peering over, the three drones saw that these workers seemed to be investigating something. Squinting her eyes Uzi realized just what they were looking at.

"This is a crime scene..... oh no." She spoke out, sure enough one of the drones were cleaning up a large puddle of oil. With one worker cleaning off broken parts of a dead drone, the three drones ducked back into the corner when one of the workers turned around. "Can anyone get Khan on this, cause this is definitely.... not ideal." A drone spoke.

" Parent-Teacher Conference. Something about his daughter being more important than building a door in this hallway. Ugh, kind of cringe. " A female drone spoke, N looked to Uzi remembering the entire situation with her dad. With a concerned look on his face he asked Uzi, "You good?". "W-what? I'm good, stop asking!" She whispered to the disassembly drone, "We need to move now, we can still warn everyone!" Thad told the two drones, Uzi had carefully moved past the hall where the crime scene was. Making sure not to make noise while she crossed over, she motioned to N and Thad to come with her. Complying, they snuck off with Uzi and darted down the halls of the school, hoping to god that they weren't too late.
