——————————————————————————*A/N 1: hello Joker fans! I'm alive! (Wow) I know i haven't updated this since the summer but I've had some relationship and family issues going on and I kinda forgot I had this book :,) lol sorry. But, I've re-read the chapter I had finished and really didn't like it soooooo.... I've re-written it! I think it's a lot better now so I hope you guys enjoy! I'll try to keep a somewhat regular update schedule going but no promises sadly. Since it's spring break for me, I can update a lot more now. Enjoy readers! <33*
*A/N 2: warning! This is a very bad written backstory, even with all the editing and re-writing. This will also be a violent backstory, with some stuff involving police and some bad written violence. Don't worry! Not much, and not too cheesy (hopefully). This chapter has not been fully edited, but I wanted to get something up. ALSO! The writing in the rest of the book with not, be as heavy as this chapter. It's only for the plot! The rest will be cheery and fun (mostly... you'll see ;) ). The next chapter will set the tone for the normal writing (it's not normally this crappy, lol). This is to give background on Y/n and Ron, and info about their family life and such.*
—3rd person POV—
November, 1983, Saturday, Edison; New Jersey
Normally, in Central Jersey, November is a starting to be a chilly month. Getting cold, hinting to the winter weather that soon will come in the later months. It's now a Saturday afternoon, with the weather growing weary.
In a small light blue home that rests in the middle of the block, 3 young kids, just barely in school (or not yet) playing in a big room. 6 year old twins Y/n and Ron, were in their blue house, the room filled with 2 arm chairs, 1 coffee table, a small tv, a side table, and toys out where if some unlucky person was to not look, they would step in a sea of pain. The kids are with their cousin Gia for the day, like usual. Gia's mom, had work, so... their Papa on their dad's side took care of them. Baby sitting them since diapers. He was running late, with the twins' parents having off from work, they weren't alone yet.
The young girls are sitting on the leather arm chair, coloring with Crayola markers that are sprawled out on the coffee table in front of them. Y/n and Gia are small enough to both fit with extra room to spare. Even with Y/n and Ron being a year older then Gia, they were small for their age, around her size. Ron on the other hand, was playing with tiny green army men on the floor in front of them. Making his own war zone, on the way to attack the Lego figures holding a pink beanie baby hostage.
The children were chatting, teasing, throwing gummy bears at each other that Ron snatched from that years Halloween candy basket, acting like any other kids would. Obviously not knowing what was happening in the room across the hall from them. The twins were so young, not a care in the world . . .
