Two teenagers stood outside and abandoned log cabin. Snow danced around them, piles of it illuminated by the moon. "Just one night, then we're out." One of them sighed. They had been dared by their friends to visit the 'creepy log cabin in the woods'. They were extremely lucky not to have crossed paths with the supernatural 'downworlders', as the Folklore suggested, lurking the woods, but still, unease crept through their bodies.
"Why be so worried Kayden?" The female replied, putting her arm on his shoulder. "We got everything we need: flashlight, food, water etc."
"I know..." Kayden breathed. "But you're missing the point Ivy. I know this is prime meeting time for the downworlders, and something tells me that an abandoned cabin, deep in the forest, at night, sounds like a good meeting spot."
But Ivy's continuous begging convinced Kayden, and they began to slowly open the door. It gave an ominous creak, and the moonlight caught a glimpse of the wooden floor. They carefully entered, warmth flooding the area. The door slammed shut, making Kayden jump and drop his flashlight. It flickered on, and Ivy gasped as she spotted a picture.
On it, humans in armour leaded with dragon teeth charged at armies of bulky, gigantic vampires. The art style seemed very creepy for a cabin.
BOOM! Something impacted with the snow.
"Go go go!" Kayden yelled. He grabbed Ivy's hand and dragged her down into the basement, slamming the hatch behind him.
"What was that?" Ivy asked, bewildered.
"Downworlders." Kayden gasped.
