Nothing really changed, I was still the girl you once knew. The one who loves running in a field of grass where wildflowers grow in abundance because it made her feel like she was a protagonist in her favorite movie. The girl who wants nothing but a home near a creek where she can spend most of her days marveling how the water flows so unpredictability reminding her of the life she chose to live. She was and will always be that girl.
The only difference is that this time, she grew up and along with that comes her self-preservation and respect that she did not have before.
She's now sure of what she wants and takes accountability for every choice she makes and if that kind of growth intimidates or scare you, then maybe you weren't meant for the life she was made to live.
