I flutter my eyes open then squint them at the bright sun.

"Morning" Daryl's husky voice says

I turn to look at him and clear my throat as I try to hide the blush rising on my face

"Um morning" I smile slightly

"Sorry ta push you into action the second you wake up but we're here" he says and turns off the car

I nod then climb out of the truck. Warren hops out of the back and splits up to go look for supplies.

Daryl and I make our way to the police station but we run into a locked gate so we have to find another way around.

We go a different way and go through an old restaurant. When we lock the door behind us we see dozens of zombies in the front of the restaurant.

"This place is lousy with eaters. Something's got them bowed up" Daryl says

I nod and gulp as I look out the boarded up windows

"At least it's a little quieter in here" he says

"Hey! Hey, you guys. A little help here" a women's voice suddenly says

Both me and Daryl look around a little startled and confused.

We walk forward a little and see her crouched in the kitchen area.

We walk to the entrance and walk into the kitchen. The girl is crouched by a guy who is bleeding badly on his shoulder.

"He bit?" Daryl asks

"Nuh-uh. Gunshot. Some crazy asshole is sniping at us and car alarms. I dragged Noah in here. They followed."

"Who's 'us'? You two?" Daryl asks

"Gotta whole team out there. Or did. We scavenge supplies for the local survivor camps"

"There's survivor camps?" I ask

"Um, yeah. The military supplies some of them with weapons, meds...there's a big one at Cherokee Hills Sawmill."

"We were doing pretty well, until that psycho-sniper showed up and brought a whole mob of biters down on top of us. We got split up, pinned down....killed...." She looks down sadly

"I need to get my people together. One of my runners, Mia, is holed up in the theater across the street. Help her out and I'll make it worth your while. Trade you one of those" she points to a duffel bag on the floor

"Lots of goodies in there, hillbilly's. Just tell her scout sent you"

"Hey, for your information I'm not from here!" I say defensively and cross my arms

She chuckles along with Daryl.

"Yeah you definitely don't know nun us hunters do" Daryl jokes

"Hey!" I say while smirking

"Deal?" Scout asks

"..I'll think about it" Daryl says

He starts walking off so scout kneels back down by her friend and I follow Daryl.

We sneak out of the restaurant and make our way into the theater.

There were a few inside so we killed them then looked around.

"There's a bag in here that looks like scouts" Daryl says from the other room

I lean on the door frame and see him taking everything out of the duffel bag and putting it in our black duffel bag.

He stands up and we open another door. We see a girl peeking out of a door down the hallway

"Ah! No, don't shoot me!" She disappears
