Mr. Fox

It's already getting late. The brat's still not waking up but at least he looked a little better than earlier. He's only a small child, yet he's not doing anything childish.

"He's goin' ta be alright..." The man-like monster turned to the old man that helped them. He had such warm and kind eyes.

"Why did ya help us?" He asked the old man. "I know, ya know... I'm..." He hesitated, looking at his hands that looked like it was trying so hard to be normal. "...Not normal..."

"Because..." He smiled. "It's hard losin' somethin' that ya know could've been saved if ya just... ask..." He looked like he was lost... He was smiling but his eyes said otherwise.

"Aren't ya... afraid?" The old man turned to him.

"No." Silence but he knew that he was confusing the man. "No matter how much ya look at it, ya were more afraid than I am when ya broke down my door." He giggled.

Are all humans this weird? This is just my second time meeting a human up close but if they're all like this...how come we, monsters, are having such a hard time defeating them? But looking at this old man...I feel something...

"Why don't ya stay here fer the night?" The old man offered. "Don't worry... I'm not gonna rat ya out ta the Kingdom." He joked but for some reason, the man believed him.

It's already midnight yet I couldn't sleep. I just sat by the window, looking out, the moon's in full bloom, such a beauty in the darkness. Now that I think about it, why is this cottage just outside the Kingdom? Why is this old man helping out monsters? Why isn't he afraid?

"Why is he alone?"

"I lost my twin when we were 7..." The man turned to the doorway to see the old man standing in the dark hall with a candle. "I came ta check in if ya needed anythin'?" He smiled. "Want some midnight snacks?" He didn;t know why but the man agreed.

Who would've believed a monster is sitting on an old man's porch, having tea, fruit and berries snacks with the said old man. It feels peaceful. Since when did I feel this light before?

Miya Osamu

I was born within the Kingdom, and always beside me; my twin, my older brother. We were from the long line of royalty. The first and second son of the Grand duke. We were the complete opposite of my brother. As our mother said, I was like the moon with my silver hair and gray stormy eyes. I was calm, collected, and was quite happy observing from a distance. Then, there's my older brother by 5 minutes; Miya Atsumu, the personification of the sun. Bright, warm, and dazzling. He smiled that melted your heart, feeling his genuinity. His golden hair was like the sunlight that shines ever so gently over the lands. His kindness that made everyone cry because who would have thought someone like him from such a high place would think of someone from the bottom. And he had those fierce golden eyes that showed unwavering determination and bravery.

Everyone loved him and I was one of them. I was one of the lucky few who was able to spend their days with someone so amazing. There wasn't a day where Atsumu forgot to hug me. There wasn't a day where he forgot to say he loves me and there wasn't a night where he forgot to hold my hand whenever we slept because it was our worst nightmare to be separated.

"Tsu- - Tsumu..." A silver haired child held his brother's hand. "I- - I'm scared." He was on the verge of tears but the golden haired child hugged him, letting the latter bury himself on the older brother's neck.

It was our coming of age, waiting for our blessing like all the other kids that were turning 6 this year. Most of the kids were excited but I felt anxious.

"Don't worry Samu..." He whispered sweet comforts. "I'm here... and I'll always be with ya." He pulled away, smiling. "I can't go with ya inside..." He held out his pinky finger. "But if somethin' happen, just call fer me and I'll be there no matter what." Osamu looked at his brother with sparkles in his eyes. "Brothers wherever..." Atsumu was truly his favorite person and he can;t help but smile and let his worry fade away as he locked their pinky fingers together.

"And forever!"

"What happened ta yer brother?" The man asked the old man who was looking at the moon.

"I don't know..." He had a tear in his eye. "He was already dyin' when I saw him outside the Kingdom's wall..." He wiped away the tears. "It was a cold night like this and the moon was shinin' so beautifully." He then turned to the man and smiled with eyes full of tears. "He died in my arms..." He sounded so defeated.

"And I feel like I died with him that night."
