"Come on it'll be fun!" Annabeth says as she straightens her dress.
"Fine" i sigh putting my book down, "ill come, on one condition" I say pulling a simple mint green skater dress out of my cupboard,
"yeeeeeeeees" she says pushing a strand of hair out of her eyes.
"Don't force me to hang out with Leo" I say looking at her.
"Fine but I can't guarantee he will leave you alone" she replies winking.
"whatever, I'll meet you at Percy's apartment in 10?" I ask her
"sure" she says opening the door and stepping out into the hallway.
I put on the dress with wite leggings and my flame converse, i know they dont match thats kind of the point.
I hate makeup so i leave my hair in a pony tail, grab my things and lock my front door.
Percy's apartment is easy to find, there aren't many doors that are painted bright blue. I knock and wait for them to open, the door handle clicks and Percy is behind it smiling with Annabeth hugging his side.
"Ready to go?" Percy asks shutting the door behind him.
"Yup" i say grinning, we walk down to the basement and get in Percy's blue
car.
--Time skip--
The music is so loud i think i'm going to die.
I see a few familiar faces but not many, as soon as we step in the room Percy and Annabeth are swept off into the crowd.
"Right" i mutter.
I make my way over to the food table but before i get there im stopped by a familiar, dark haired, dark eyed hottie. a.k.a. Leo Valdez.
"(y/n) i didn't think you would come" he says smiling at me
"Annabeth convinced me" i say shrugging
"i guess all she had to do was mention my name..." he says smirking.
I feel a blush creep up my face as he says that.
"Do you want to get food?" he asks
"yes please" i say taking his hand so i dont loose him in the crush of people.
--Time skip--
"fireworks are starting" Alex says pointing at the elevators,
"is that we're everyone is going?" I ask him looking around. There are only a few people left in the main room.
"Yep, the roof has the best view" he says walking over to the elevator.
Now there's no one to talk to, except Leo. I walk over to the elevator and click the button. The doors open and I step into the empty carriage,
"(y/n) hold it" someone calls out so I stick my foot I front of the closing doors.
"Thanks" the guy says grinning at me, its Leo.
"S'ok" I say blushing,
"it's just me, no need to get worked up" he says winking, that makes me blush more.
He smirks and runs a hand through his hair,
"roof?" He asks after a few seconds.
"yup" I say pressing the button again, the screeching elevator noise fills my ears and then it stops. Nothing.
"Its stopped" Leo says pressing a few more buttons, it's ok, it's ok, you'll be ok.
"Oh gods" Leo mutters pressing the call button.
"we'll be fine, it'll be ok" I whisper trying to calm my breathing.
The tears come anyways, they sting my eyes and make everything blurry.
"uh it's ok" Leo says awkwardly hugging me, he smells nice, like smoke and grease. I hug him back and wait.
"are you ok?" He asks pulling my face up
"yeah" I say wiping my eyes,
"this is a good opportunity, alone time with the one and only Leo" he says doing a little dance,
"shut up" I laugh lightly punching his arm. He just smiles and slings an arm over my shoulder,
"so what have you been up to?" He asks playing with the end of my pony tail.
"Not much, I haven't been attacked by any monsters" I say resting a head on his shoulder.
"Same" he says
"how's your foster home?" I ask him.
"Uh, it doesn't matter" he says looking down
"if you ever need it you can stay with me for a while" I say slipping my arm around his waist.
"Hey (y/n)" he says turning to face me,
"yeah" I say looking into his chocolate eyes.
His face is so close, he quickly closes the gap and presses his rough lips against mine. With out thinking a lift a hand up and tangle it into his hair, his soft curls feel nice between my fingers. He smiles and pulls me closer.
"I thought you didn't like me" he says pulling away,
"yeah well" I say looking at my feet. His finger snake along the back of my neck and it feels like sparks fly wherever he touches me. I smile and he kisses me again.
"Will you go out with me?" He asks sliding an arm around my waist
"of course" I say kissing his cheek,
"you look different when your clean"
"huh?" Leo says confused
"without grease on your face, you look different" I say smiling, Leo smirks and places his lips on mine again.
"HAH TOLD YOU GUYS" I hear Annabeth shriek. I jerk my head away from Leo and realise the elevator started working again, nearly everyone is looking in our direction. I blush and look down,
"cmon" Leo says squeezing my hand,
"it took you guys long enough" Annabeth adds punching Leo's arm.
"You can come sit with us."
