(can't remember if i've mentioned it before but i'm giving vega spot on the quidditch team, she'll replace alicia spinnet. i have nothing against her the other two just are more involved in the story-)❝𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯

IN NO TIME AT ALL, DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS BECAME MOST PEOPLE'S FAVOURITE CLASS.
only draco and his gang of slytherinshad anything bad to say about professor lupin. "look at the state of his robes," draco would say in a loud whisper as professor lupin passed, vega always giving him the side-eye as she dressed much the same. she only had a few nice, clean ones due to the malfoys. "he dresses like our old house elf . vega would huff at that, she quite liked their little house elf, dobby. he was sweet. but no one else cared that professor lupin's robes were patched and frayed.
vega was fairly in the middle, while she did quite enjoy the class and the material they were learning, she was also slightly unnerved. every time she walked in she felt lupin's eyes following her, making her slightly awkward. her mind, as always, immediately assumed this was due to her last name, but still, it slightly annoyed her. not only that, but she also had a sneaking suspicion, he, too, is a werewolf. it all matched up too well. his slightly scarred and very tired face, tattered clothes, and fear of a ball that looked suspiciously like the moon.
lupin's next few lessons were just as interesting as the first. after boggarts, they studied red caps, nasty little goblin likecreatures that lurked wherever there had been bloodshed: in the dungeonsof castles and the potholes of deserted battlefields, waiting tobludgeon those who had gotten lost. from red caps they moved on to kappas. creepy, water-dwellers that looked like scaly monkeys, withwebbed hands itching to strangle unwitting waders in their ponds.
however, potions was worse than it had really ever been. snape was in a particularly vindictive mood thesedays, and no one was in any doubt why. the story of the boggart assuming snape's shape, and the way that neville had dressed it in hisgrandmother's clothes, had traveled through the school like wildfire. snape didn't seem to find it funny. his eyes flashed menacingly at thevery mention of professor lupin's name, and he was bullying nevilleworse than ever.
vega thought that maybe if he stopped bullying the poor boy, he wouldn't be his worst fear and need to dress him up in grandma clothes.
vega wasn't particularly fond of divination, trelawney always gave harry tearful looks and vega wispy glances.
