Leo and Raph 2012 story

Part 2

Leonardo saw the dread in Donatello and Michelangelo's eyes,"Raph,"they whispered, Donnie clenched his fists, and Mikey threw his nun-chunks to the ground in anger.

Leonardo stared at his brother,"Please, not like this,"he whispered, Leonardo was becoming full of rage every minute,"Is there... anything we can do, anything!?"Mikey asked Donnie.

Donatello shook his head,"You can't bring someone back from the dead,"Donnie said, Leonardo closed his eyes,"It's all my fault if I hadn't gone out alone to find Raphael, I wouldn't have lead Shredder straight to him, he wouldn't have stepped in to save me, he wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for me!"Leo cried, he dashed off towards the surface.

Raphael coughed up blood and gasped for air. Donnie and Mikey snapped their attention toward Raph and ran up to him at lightning speed,"Raph you-you're alive!?"Donnie cried, tears sprang into Mikey's eyes."Raph I thought- we thought you were dead!"he cried, Donnie looked at the wound in Raphael's shoulder, it looked some-what healed, just enough to keep him alive"How?"Donnie started, Raph coughed again.

"I-I can't remember, Leo,"he groaned, he coughed blood again,"Where is Leo?"Raph's voice was muffled and chopped,"We don't know, he ran off,"Mikey said.

Raph tried to get up but Donnie pushed him back down,"No! You're alive! You are staying here!"he snapped, Raph grunted and growled,"Leo is going to try to kill Shredder, he can't, he'll get killed,"Raph said, pushing his brothers away from him, he knocked them out cold,"I need to save him from himself,"Raph stated.

"Raph! Raphie! Come see what Mikey found! It's so cool!" Leo ran up to his brother, grabbing his wrist and pulled him to the Family Room, Mikey was holding up a skateboard proudly, Raph pulled away from Leo and backed away.

"L-Leo, is Mikey going to hurt me with that thing?" Raph asked his big brother.

Leo laughed and walked up to his brother,"You know Mikey didn't mean to smack you with the nun-chucks, and plus, that 'thing' is called a skateboard, Donnie said it's harmless as long as you know how to use it."

Leo extended his hand to his brother,"Come on, I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you!" Leo said, Raph looked at Mikey, who was trying to use the skateboard, while Donnie was telling him how to use it.

Raph hesitantly took his brother's hand,"O-Ok, Leo, I trust you big brother."

"I won't let anyone hurt you, ever!" Leo said. Raph smiled,"Thanks big brother, and I'll make sure no one hurts you!"

Leonardo opened his eyes, tears streaming down as he ran across the building tops, he'd skidded to a halt as Shredder's lair came into vision.

He snuck in easily, he saw Shredder meditating, Leonardo leaped down behind him,"I was wondering when you'd show up Leonardo,"Shredder said, Leonardo growled and pulled out his Katanas,"Let's finish this once and for all!"Leonardo said.

Leonardo pinned the Shredder to the ground and raised his sword,"You will pay for what you did to him!"Leonardo strikes his brother's murderer, but his sword was delayed by a sai, he fell to the ground.

"A-A sai?"Leonardo whispered. Leonardo picked his sword up and turned to the foe who stopped him, Leonardo froze and was silent, he dropped his weapons.

Raphael was standing in front of him smiling, Leonardo saw drops of blood fall off his katana, he'd slashed the Shredder's shoulder ever so slightly but he was still alive, Shredder was just as full of surprise as Leonardo.

"R-Raph? N-No! It's a trick-my thoughts are playing tricks on me!"Leonardo cried, Raphael put his hand on his shoulder,"It's me brother,"Raph whispered.

Leo wrapped his arms around his brother and cried and cried into his shoulder.

Raph quickly returned the hug and allowed his brother to hug him.

When Leo pulled away, he noticed that the Shredder had gotten away.

He didn't care, he had his brother again, that was all that mattered,"I-I... I love you Leo, I love you brother..."

Leo looked at his brother in the eyes, he hugged Raph again,"Thank you Leo... for not giving up on me."
