Chap. 13

[LONG CHAPTER!]

Katsuki's absence around the castle was daunting. Izuku hated to admit it, but he slightly missed the domineering presence he usually felt now that Katsuki was gone. After what happened with Shoto, Izuku refused to see him again. Ruts typically lasted two weeks, only a week and two days for heats though, and Izuku didn't want to feel so weak again.

Thinking of Shoto's rut brought Izuku's attention to Katsuki, when was his? Surely Katsuki can't expect Izuku to help him through it...

"Midoriya!"

The man jumped, nearly falling out of the bed.

"Tsu!"

Tsu greeted Izuku with a smile, "Ochaco has someone she wants you to meet."

Izuku fought his way out of the mess of blankets and duvets, and stumbled towards the beta.

"Ohh, who are they?"

Tsu and Izuku began walking together, with Tsu in lead.

"Mina Ashido, Ochaco mentioned you might know her."

Izuku's face brightened, "Oh! Yes, she told me about her a few weeks ago," Izuku recounted it. "A nurse, was it?"

"Yep, she's on the medical team."

Izuku smiled thoughtfully. "Wow.."

Tsu opened the kitchen door, and nearly instantly, the sound of casual chit chat made its way to Izuku aswell as the tasty smell of fresh fruit pies.

"Izuku," Ochaco beamed, "Meet Ashido!"

Izuku looked at the other woman, she was tall with pink, fluffy hair. Her skin was a beautiful shade of coffee, and her eyes looked as though they glowed a loving amber.

"Ah! Midoriya isn't it?"

Izuku walked over and sat at the table with Tsu reclaiming her seat next to Ochaco.

"Indeed, and you're Ashido?"

Mina giggled, nodding. Her pink, beautiful locks bounced as she did and Izuku was absolutely mesmerised.

"You're so pretty." Izuku breathed, finding his eyes darting across her face as he struggled to take in all her entrancing features.

"Thank you," She smiled. "Want a slice of pie?" She gestured to the tin and a plate.

Izuku nodded.

Mina leant over the table, her long and graceful arms dancing around the pie with a knife and fork, and she returned to Izuku with a big, steaming slice of strawberry pie.

"It's Ochaco's specialty." Tsu hiccuped, sipping some of her herbal tea.

Ochaco blushed, "Ah, but Tsu! You did all the decorating, really it's team effort!"

"Do you have a secret garden of endless fruit? I swear you always seem to have some on hand," Izuku took a slice of pie and stuffed it into his mouth, face going red and eyes watering as he tasted the blissful sweetness of the strawberry jam.

"You don't know?" Mina turned her head slightly, "King Katsuki has rows of apple trees, berry bushes, strawberry bushes... He has the gardeners go out once or twice a week to pick the weeks grow."

Izuku nearly fainted.

"You have a fruit garden and didn't even tell me?!"

Ochaco held her hands up, "It's not ours! It's the Kings, he's very strict on food!"

"Where is it?!" Izuku stuffed more of the pie in his mouth.

"Ah-" Ochaco started, before Tsu interrupted.
