Wait ! Please ! [ Chapter 3 ]

Hello , I wanted to make a quick note before we get started . This chapter will mainly focusing on Jake .

JAKE'S P . O . V

I was woken up by loud beeping from what I assumed was my alarm clock telling me it was time to get up and ready for school .

I get up out of my bed against my will , and make my way to my closest . I look at the options I have before choosing a white shirt , jeans , white socks & shoes , and my favorite jacket .

After I'm done changing I go down stairs and start making Milo's favorites , pancakes and eggs .

" Jake .. are you in here ? " I heard his voice call . " Yep ! Over here ! " I yell .

I see Milo coming into the dining room / kitchen , and sitting down at the table .

" PANCAKES ! ! ! " He screams . I cover my ears . " Yep , now STOP SCREAMING . " I say .

" Right , sorry ! " I hum in response . " Hurry up and eat . I don't want to be late . " He nods his head , signaling an ' ok ' .

Once he finished , we left to out the door to be greeted with Drew once more . I still find this weird , I would expect him to start walking with the others . Nevermind .

When we got to Milo ' s elementary , we waved bye and parted ways .

" What was yesterday ? " I asked . Drew stopped and seemed to be frozen in place . He turn to me and said " I ' m not sure . "

" Oh . . well did you mean it ? " I asked while we continued walking to our destination .

He thought for a moment before answering my question . " Yea , I did . " I smiled brightly at him and he returned this kind gesture .

I was up all night thinking about that interaction . I came to the conclusion that I liked Drew , I always have .

I put up the ' I like daisy act ' so I wouldn't be bullied again . Now that I know I like Drew it ' s going to be really hard to keep that act up .

I just hope that I don ' t blow it . I was snapped out of my thoughts by Drew patting my shoulder .

Because it did catch me off guard , I jumped back , causing Drew to retract his hand and look at me concerned .

' Shit . ' " S - sorry ! You just caught me off guard - ! " He knew I wasn ' t telling the truth , but I hoped that he would leave it . And he did .

" Alright , well , see you ? " He asked . " Yea ! " He started to walk in to the building . " Oh - and Jake ? " " Yea ? " " Can you please eat lunch with us for once ? "

" Sure . "

He smiled and continued his way into school . I made my way to my class again and sit down in my seat .

' It seems that Milly isn ' t here again . . that ' s strange . Oh well , I ' ll ask at afternoon rehearsal I guess . '

" Look I honestly don't want to teach y'all today so do whatever . " The substitute said .
