Everything was dark.
Damon's eyes felt too heavy to open them.
Her body felt week, and her head felt like it was still spinning.
Like her body was about to fall and needs rest.
Her head kept pounding like her brain is trying to pop her eyes out.
But luckily the regulators were keeping it under control.
Her ears kept ringing, and heard muffled arguing.
Damon could finally heart herself breath, but her heart started racing at the thought of if she's in danger or if she's dead.

She felt like she was in a coma.

She slowly started to gain the strength to open one of her eyes, and her vision was blurry once again.
She kept that eye open till eventually it started to clear.
She could see that she had company.
She was still surrounded by the debrie from the egg forcers attack.
She opened the other eye and saw Nines back, and it sounded like he was arguing with C Dog and Manie.

They looked really pissed, but Manie just stayed back with his head down and arms crossed.
As C Dog was angrily yelling at Nine, while Nine was screaming back.
But all that was still muffled along with her ringing ears.
Damon started to look around while her ears clear up.

Everything was destroyed, and the only thing that lit up the place with light in the corner was the remaining fire.
The bar was crushed, and the stage was demolished.
Either everyone ran away, or they were taken away.

Damon felt some strength coming to her limbs, her ears clear enough to hear the yelling.
She moaned in pain, grabbing Nines attention.
He looked mad at first, then his expression quickly changed to worry.
"N-Nine?" Damon said with a raspy voice.
"Damon." He said quietly.
Quickly getting on his knees next to her, wrapping her right arm around his shoulders so she could stand.

Her legs shook at first, but she managed to get up on her feet.
"You!" Damon looked up at C dog, looking week, dirty, and dehydrated with a strand of her curly hair in her face.
"This is all your fault!" He pointed at her, looking tense.
Damon was confused.

"I told you we shouldn't have trusted her." Manie mentioned, sounding more calm than C Dog.
"I told you to leave her alone!" Nine said aggressively through his teeth, baring his fangs.
But C Dog ignored him.

"If you haven't of come here in the first place, you wouldn't have ruin our business!" He yelled.
Damon just looked at him like he was crazy.
Nine stomped his foot in front of her, still holding her arm.
"HEY! Fuck off!" Nine yelled back.

"No! She needs to know that a HUMAN like her CANT be trusted!"

After that, Damon's face fell to sorrow.
What did she do?

"I knew you were here just to spy on us!" C Dog shook his head in disappointment.
Damon's head shot up.
"Spy on you? I FOUGHT FOR THIS PLACE WITH MY LIFE!! you have no idea how much this place ment to me!" Damon fought back, still trying to keep her balance on Nines shoulder.
"Like I would believe you after this shit show!" C Dog crossed his arms.

"She was knocked out you fucking dumb ass!" Nine shouted, his ears pinning down to his head.
"I don't care! She's nothing but a freak!" C Dog said in Nines face, making him flinch.
"A useless pice of SHIT!" C Dogs tail fur prickled, his brows furrowed.

Damon could feel tears filling her eyes.
"C-Caral...p-pl-please—" Damon begged for forgiveness, even though there's nothing to apologize about.
"No! We gave you food and water, and this is how you pay us back?" C Dog asked rhetorically.
"I hope you die." C dog said quietly, but loud enough for both her and Nine to hear.
He sounded quite immature.
Damon gasped, tears falling down her cheeks.
While nine looked at C dog with blood boiling through his veins.

He tugged on her arm gently, signaling her it's time to leave.
But before they made three steps, nine side eyed C Dog.
"You're lucky Damon's hurt...otherwise I would be tearing your throat out with my bear teeth." He growled, then continued to walk off.
C dog didn't react to his threat and just stood there, then sighed.

Manie just kept looking at the ground in awkward silence.
Knowing he hardly said a word.
Nine and Damon leaving the place a blaze.

...

Damon directed Nine through the emergency exit tunnels, leading them back into the subway.
Nine still helping her limp back home.
Nine would always check on her, looking up at her face to make sure she's okay.
But she wasn't...not mentally.
She kept letting tears flow down her face, as the thought of Dieing kept coming to her head.

Nine kept looking away, feeling like she could still see him in the corner of her eye.
But he still can't help but look at her with guilt.

He didn't know why he felt guilty for her.
He just did.
Everything that she's going through, and now this.
He should have done more than just yell.
He would usually solve his problems and others with violence.
Which is what made people fear him, achieving his dominance.
But he felt like he lost.
He felt week when it came to Damon.
He usually doesn't do friends because it causes a big distraction for him.
But her...she has hardly been with him for two days and he just...what's wrong with him.

His thoughts were cut off when Damon mustered the courage to talk.
"N-Nine." She started, Nine looking up at her.
"I...I just wanted to say I—" Damon paused to sob for a short moment, then continued.
"I'm s-sorry...for getting you into this...I-I know you didn't want to go and—this...this is all my fault and you're probably mad at me and I—" she sniffled.

"I know this is all my fault a-and I completely understand if you want to kick me out—" she sobbed, but Nine cut her off.
"Damon no." He said, stopping in his tracks and pulling her to his level.
Damon now on her knees facing him.
"It's...it's not your fault...you didn't do anything." He said softly, putting his hands on her shoulders in reassurance.

Nine could feel his cheeks heating up a little.

What is he doing?

"You risked your life just to save a club, and they...they just don't understand how much you did to help them." He could feel a small smile creep up on his face.
"B-but, I always have the upper hand till I get grabbed and thrown around like a rag doll!" Damon said, letting a few tears fall down.

"I failed."

"But you tried." Nine said, as Damon's head slowly hung to the floor.
Nine tilted his head, trying to look in her eyes.
Lifting her chin with his finger.
"Ignore what they said about you. All the shit they said about you...it isn't true." Nine said softly.
His voice is very soothing when it comes to cheering people up.
He suddenly whipped a tear from her cheek, Damon's eyes looking at him with surprise.

"Don't let it get to your head like I did...you're not a freak...ignore it." He kept looking deep into her eyes.
Like he was thinking, but didn't make a face to show it.
His finger still on her chin.
"I..." Damon tried to speak, but she didn't have the words.
She could feel herself blushing, being so close to Nines face.

Nine realized how long this was going on, and shook his head.
"Sorry...come on, we can't keep you out here for long...we should go." Nine mentioned, knowing that more egg forcers might come and find her.
Or both of them.

"I got some things I need to work on."
