Damon sat on the floor next to Nine who was forced to work on the computer behind Dr. Don't and babbles.
Apparently there's more than one shard, and more than two worlds.
Damon thought it was just their world and the dessert looking world.
But there's more.

Both of them where ushered into a different hover craft with a big screen, and controls.
The council threatened Damon's life if Nine wasn't able to unlock her power so they can concur more worlds.
During her captivity that she's still in, they did ask one time if she would join the coucil so she can rule the world with them.
Even though she thought Nine has no loyalty, she still kept hers so she denied.
They threatened to...enhance her like they did with rusty after that but—they never did, did they.

Damon sat there keeping her distance from him, assuming he's still mad at her.
But why should he be mad?
She twisted her wrists in the cuffs, due to the discomfort.
As she could hear the clicks and clacks, and beeps and boops of the buttons.
Damon has no idea where they are right now.
But she could only assume their in the shatter space, considering all she could see on the big screen is purple and random floating crystals with no life in them.

Damon leaned her head against the wall.
Resting her cuffed wrists in her lap.
She couldn't even activate her steal claws, since there was no loose chain to pull her wrists closer.
All she could do is follow the rules and hope she doesn't die, but she ain't gonna follow no rules.
Just hope she doesn't die.
Damon rolled her head to the side to see Nine working on the computer in the wall.
He looks more miserable than before, shaking his head lightly either in disapproval or the fact that he's forced to do this shit.

But Nine suddenly looked in the corner of his eye to see Damon staring at him.
Her eyes widened and immediately looked away, awkwardly scratching her head.
She hasn't washed her hair in months, it's all tangled and ugly.
She pulled one of her strands in her view, and cringed at the sight.

"God I'm ugly." She whispered to herself, rapidly shaking her head only for her hair to look more messy.
But she didn't care.
But Nine heard what she said, and frowned at that.
If only she could see what she looks like in his perspective and other peoples.
Damon swallowed, looking up at the ceiling.
Only hearing the buttons, then suddenly a big sigh from Don't.

Nine looked over at him, then at Damon.
Nine sighed before he spoke.

"So uhh...how long have you been in captivity?" He asked, looking back at the screen.
Damon side eyed him, pulling her brows together then scoffed.
"Do you care?" She asked, having a mocking smile on her face.
"Well...yeah." He replied, and yet was met with silence once more.
Damon looked at the floor like she was finding her reply, then looked back up at the ceiling.
"Since you left." She said with her usual low voice.
Her voice was oddly deep, but not as deep as a man's.

Nines eyes widened and looked back at her to whisper.
"D, that was three weeks ago!" Nine pointed out in worry.
She's been here for that long?
Her eyes widened.
"Damn really?!" Nine nodded back in response.
Damon hummed and went back to her miserable depressed state, feeling slightly awkward.

Nine still looked at her, and his brows arched saddened.
Looking away for a moment, then back at her.
"I uhh...I missed you." He weekly smiled.
But Damon didn't even turn to look at him.
He sighed, and continued with his forced work.
Till he heard this come out of Damon's mouth.

"I missed you too." She replied, her voice sounding a little higher.
He noticed that her voice changes depending on the situation or the person she's talking too, like the pitch of her voice.
Nine looks at her, and smiles.

"I thought you didn't want me to come back." He said softly and jokingly.
Damon looked back up at Nine, then gave a week smile.
"Guess I lied." She said, sounding a little somber.
Nine chuckled to himself and looked back at the screen.
But then, a question popped up in her head.
"So, how am I supposed to 'unlock my power'?" Damon asked, using quotation fingers then lifting herself up to her knees at Nines level.

"Well, I tried to explain to them that the only way to unlock your power is through adrenaline."

"Adrenaline?" Damon questioned, looking at Nine confused.
"Precisely. Your power is connected to your negative emotions, either you're able to control it willingly or your negative emotions will." He explained while typing on the computer.
Damon put a finger on her chin.

"But, I was crying few weeks ago. How come it didn't activate then?" She asked.
Sadness is a negative emotion, so something should've happened.
"Like I said, it's unlocked by adrenaline or something that can make you really angry." Nine explained again.
"I would show you my research and what I found in your scannings, but unfortunately you and me both are restrained." He rolled his eyes, knowing how strict the council is.

"Well I can get us out! Make me angry." She said in a low voice so Don't doesn't hear them.
"Im afraid it's not that simple, it has to come naturally to you. Besides, I don't know what will kick in your adrenaline." He said quietly, still typing on the keyboard.
Damon hummed, and then silence.
She looked up at the big screen, seeing what looked to be something big and green.
Like green honeycomb shaped crystals surrounding a portal.
She assumed it was some sort of empty place like the last one.

She looked back at Nine, sighing out of stress.
She suddenly tapped his shoulder, causing Nine to look up at her.
"Look...I-I'm sorry for everything I said to you. I don't know what got into me...I guess...it was in grief or anger and I felt like I needed to take my anger out on you because some cat told me that you where using me and—" suddenly Nine cut her off as she was on the verge of tears.
"D, it's cool...I understand what you're going through." He said, placing a metal tail on her shoulder gingerly, since his wrists were cuffed.
She looked at his hand, then back at him with glossy eyes.

"Loosing everything you loved...I feel your pain..." he said, smiling warmly.
Damon looked into his ocean blue eyes, and Nine looked into her glossy chocolate brown eyes.
Damon cracked a light smile, and rested her palm on his hand that rested upon her shoulder.
But then, nine realized something.
"Wait...what did you say about a cat?"
Her lips quivered about to say something, till Don't turned around in his chair.
Looking directly at them.

"What are you two doing?" He asked, nosing in.
But Damon did not like how he was snooping in their deep conversation.

"FUCK OFF AND MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS YOU COCK FUCK!!!!" She swiftly turned and shouted, causing Nine to flinch back in surprise.
Staring at her with wide and shocked eyes.
That really scared him?

Don't also looked shocked and offended.
He growled and snapped his fingers, causing Damon to raise a brow.
From the sliding double doors, an egg forcer came in with a shock gun.
Making Damon look up at it in fear.
Nine knew exactly what was going to happen next.
He jumped right in front of her, now on all 7 tails.
"Leave her alone!" He yelled, but he ended up getting shoved over and Damon ended up getting shocked anyway.
Collapsing to the floor with a grunt.
"Damon!" He called, crawling over to the shaking human with flowing tears.

He used both of his cuffed hands to grab onto hers, and helped her sit up.
Her hair looked even more crazy and electrified.
She looked disoriented and dazed.
"Are you okay?" He asked with worry.
Damon moaned in discomfort.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." She replied, Nine leaning her up against the wall to rest.
"You better watch your mouth girl, or your consequences will be even worse than a light shock." Don't warned, turning back to the big console.

Nine glanced at him with hidden rage.
Looking up at the large screen, realizing their was clear sky and trees.
