Chapter 5

Chay's POV

I had finished my work for the day and was thinking about going home with Ohm, but he had already left for the day. And I called Hia and told him to pick me up, but he is busy and can't pick me up, so he is sending someone else to pick me up. After that, I took my bag with me and went to wait for the person in the lobby of the office. During the time that I was waiting, I heard someone calling my name. When I looked around, I noticed that it was Khun Rit standing there. He approached me and asked, "Are you leaving now?" as he walked towards me. I nodded.

He gave me a look and then asked, "As I can see you are waiting for a ride, would you mind if I dropped you off?"

I gave him a friendly smile, shook my head, and said, "Thank you for the offer, Khun Rit, but I won't be able to take advantage of it because my brother will be here to pick me up." He nodded and said, "Let me give you company till your brother comes."

I was about to say no, but he cut me off and said, "Since I'm your boss, it's my job to make sure you're safe until your brother's car gets here." I gave in hesitantly.

Khun Rit asked me while we were waiting in the lobby for Hia's friend to arrive, "So, I went through the sponsor schedule list you made. It was really impressive that you were able to come up with it on your first day of work." I smiled and nodded at him

"Thank you, Khun Rit, for appreciating my work!" Khun Rit shook his head and said, "No, Porchay," when I told him that "I should thank you. Because of you, we don't have to do as much work to change the sponsor schedule again. Keep doing what you're doing." I thanked him again, reminded myself to keep trying my best, and smiled at him.

He asked me about my first day here and how it was to work with Wik. I told him that it was great to work here, and I told him that I worked on the sponsor list because of Wik.

He gave me a smile and said, "I know, and in fact, Wik was the one who gave me the list you made after I informed him about the crisis." I was surprised for a moment, but I couldn't believe that Wik was the one who was going to move ahead with the list. I was thinking and didn't realise it until someone called me.

"Chay!" When I turned to see where the voice was coming from, I saw that P'Pol had come to pick me up. I looked at him, waved, and told him, "I'm coming, Phi. Wait for a minute." He nodded, so I turned to look at K'Rit and said, "Thank you, K'Rit, for keeping me company until now."

He smiled and said, "No need to thank me, Porchay. Your Phi is here. I'll go now and see you tomorrow." and he left.

Then I walked towards P'Pol, who was already there waiting for me. I gave him a smile and said, "Thanks for picking me up."

He replied, "No problem, Chay. I'm always happy to give you a ride." and he opened the car door for me. I waited for him while he started the car, and as soon as he did, I asked, "Phi, why didn't Hia come to get me?" P'Pol looked at me and said, "Porsche had some urgent work to attend to. He asked me to come instead." I just nodded as we drove off. I was looking out the window and noticed that we were heading towards the mansion, and I looked at Phi, confused, and asked,

"Phi, why are we going to the mansion instead of the house?"

"Because your Hia wants you to come to the mansion," he said with a smile, hiding something from me.

"Hmm, Ok." I said that and was thinking about why Hia wants me in the mansion. Maybe it's because I couldn't talk to him well on the phone. I think he wants to meet me and stay at the mansion. So he could talk to me about my day. I smiled, and I couldn't wait to meet everyone in the mansion, especially P'No. I couldn't meet him because I was too busy with school and looking for an internship.
