It was a Sunday morning as we got ourselves and our 2 children ready to go to church. "You look nice this morning" I complemented Jane.
"Why thank you Edward, you don't look so bad yourself." She walked towards the door and shouted out it "Lilly, James, are you ready?"
"Yes mama!" was the reply she received from our two children Lilly who was 6 years old and James who was 4 years old. Jane and I excited our bedroom and went to find the kids wearing their Sunday best. "Well are we ready to go?"
"Yes!" Jane, Lilly and James chorused. We walked to church me and Jane hand in hand with the kids running along in front of us. I turned to Jane "Can you believe its been eight years since the end of the war?"
"It seems like a life time ago." Jane replied. When we got to church Jane gave Lilly and James the normal lecture about behaving, even though they always do. As the priest was talking I tuned out and looked at my family. Everything has turned out perfectly.
