Vanessa and the new girl, Jenna, walked to the classroom together. Vanessa was glad that she made a new friend before school started! Vanessa hurried to the back and sat down in her seat. Mrs.Chisel started to talk, " class, this is our new student! You can introduce yourself Ms.Miller. " " Hi, my name is Jenna Miller.. " Jenna felt all eyes on her, some student glared. She felt left out, and more worried every second. It was so quiet that you could hear the clock ticking from the back on the classroom. Everyone look so tired, they just waved, or ignored Jenna. " Well Jenna, you can sit at that empty desk, next to Roger." Jenna walked to the front and sat right next to Roger, she looked and Vanessa with a worried expression. Vanessa mouthed the word " don't worry. " Then she looked at Roger who was half asleep. Vanessa felt a bit bad for Jenna , but she knew she would be fine.
