The day seemed long and she had no chance of getting out of the way as their minder seemed more intent none of them going off on their own. Alistair remained cold and distant barely saying two words to her. "Tonight is our last night together." Alistair's uncle announced after supper. "So tonight we will be going to take you all on a midnight hunt and whoever we catch we are going to be having fun with." After he announced that the dessert arrived, the girls were chatting amongst themselves about the sudden revelation of a partner swap game. Hannah didn't eat she just knew she had to get out of there.
Some of the other girls pinched Hannah's dessert and they all appeared to be more drunk than ever. Hannah played along realising the food must have been drugged. Hannah was surprised when they scooped them all up with ease, and dumped them in the cellar and locked the door. After Hannah was certain they were home she tried to wake the other girls. She came across bodies that she gently nudged to try and wake them from their drug-induced state but none of them moved. She reached into her pockets for the keys and wondered if they were her way out. She felt around the wall till she came to a door. She fumbled around with keys till one worked.
She slowly left the cellar and began to climb the stairs to the kitchens. She took a sign to relive as she reached the top of them without bumping into anyone. She saw the doorway to the outside and quickly started trying them one at a time. The ghost appeared in the reflection on the window of the door she turned to reveal her blood-drained neck and battered face. She put her finger to her lol and motioned Hannah to be quiet before disappearing again. Hannah pulled a large kitchen knife from its block. She saw the store cupboard door and quickly and as quietly as she could duck into it and silently crouched behind the mop bucket. Silently praying no one opened the door. She heard some muffled talking from behind the door before footsteps left. Hannah said for a little while longer before slightly opening a crack in the door and peering out, straining her eyes to see in the dark. On not seeing anything or one, she slowly crawled out. Her heart was racing and pounding in her ears. She picked herself up from the floor and began to walk up the stairs. Hannah felt someone touch her from behind she slowly turned to see one of the other girls quivering behind her. Hannah motioned for her to keep quiet as they quickly climbed the stairs to the hallway at the top. Silently they both walked along the hallway stopping at an open door. Alistair's voice could be heard talking perhaps on a phone. Hannah wanted to turn back but the other girls reminded her that the quickest way out was in that direction. They decided to crawl past the doorway in hopes that no one would see them. Hannah got down on all fours and silently began to crawl her friend in tow. She heard Alistair's voice talking to someone quietly as he sat behind a large desk in that room. Perhaps he was on the phone, Hannah didn't need or want to hang around and find out as they crept into the room next to where Alistair was on the phone. She covered her mouth as he approached the door hoping it would muffle out the sound of her breathing and nearly crying. The door handle moved down as he put his hand on it to open the door. The sound of another voice could be heard calling him away making him stop entering the room and leave.
"Are you OK?" Hannah whispered. The other girl nodded black streaks from her mascara and tears dripping down her face as she came out of her hiding spot. Hannah tried the draws feeling around for a weapon or anything she could defend herself with. She found a pair of scissors and a fancy letter opener shaped like a sword. She handed the scissors to the girl and she took the letter opener, they heard footsteps coming back to the room and they hid behind the desk. Praying that whoever it was would walk away from the door both girls held hands and then the large doorbell sounded out making both of them jump.
The was a whole load of commotion as more people entered the house. "It was then that Hannah noticed the window and quietly tried to open it, but the window wouldn't budge. Hannah picked up a brass bull and threw it at the window full force breaking the window. Hannah quickly jumped out and motioned for the other girl to jump after but she wasn't quick enough as Alistair's cousin burst in and grabbed her from behind. "Hannah Run." She screamed as he picked her up by the scruff of her neck. Hannah didn't have time to say anything before the others followed and she disappeared off into the bushes. she saw the silhouette of the girl kicking and screaming being held aloft by this man before he removed the letter opener that she had clutched in one hand and stabbed her in the throat. turning her screams to gargles and then silence. Hannah looked left and right to find herself trapped in the center courtyard surrounded on all four sides by more buildings and a large wooden gate that would be locked. Hannah ran past the window again picked up the bronze bear and sped across the courtyard she threw it at a random window and then ducked into some nearby bushes. She saw Alistair and the others follow the bronze bear into that window. The other guests that had just arrived seemed to be joining in the chase. Hannah couldn't make out all the chatter but it was clear that this was what they had come for. Hannah put her hands in the coat pocket and felt the cold metal of the keys that she had forgotten were in there. Just then she heard the main gate start to open and she struggled to hide low in the bushes and just managed to get out of sight. laying flat against the ground a white minibus pulled in. Hannah recognized this as the one that had taken her back and forth to clean Alistair's apartment. the girls were ushered off and where all stood in the cold dark night. Alistairs Uncle stepped out of the house through a small door, "Well ladies it's so lovely to see you all here tonight." Everyone looked confused as to what was going on. It is time to play our first game of the night. " He started, "Is hide and seek." The longer you stay hidden the bigger the surprise you will get. " He jovial smile across his face, which now felt menacing and she wasn't sure why she hadn't noticed before the undercurrents of his intents, but there they were now plain to see. The main gate was now closed as the girls were ushered into the house. Hannah looked around for another way and it was then that she noticed the spectator of the girl standing by a door. She scrambled to her feet and walked over the the door fumbling around with the key in the night she found one that unlocked the door. "Run." The ghost whispered before disappearing into the night to be nothing more than the cold breeze causing the hairs on her neck to stand upright. It wasn't long before she heard the first blood-curdling screams as another girl met her end. Hannah heard footsteps and hushed voices as she silently climbed onto a wardrobe top and pulled a sheet over her. Three girls walked into the room and quickly hid. "It sounded like they killed her." One of them joked, "Probably jump scared the little cow that's all." Hannah recognized the voice of one of the girls she had, to perform for Only Fans with. She remembered that she was just as cruel as any of the men who had brought her to the wretched country and made sure she had been found by Alistair. She was angry with her even though she knew she should have been angry with the drug dealers who had brought them to this place, but the things they had said to her stuck in her mind.
