2: tie

sunoo was bedridden for three days, too ashamed to show himself to the rest of the kingdom. how could he be a king when he doesn't even know what a human looks like?

"sunoo dear, we have good news!" his mom sang as she opened his door. the red head sat up with his tear stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes. "ay, my beautiful son so hurt and torn," she pouted, holding his cheek.

"we've decided to send you to human high school." his dad blurted out, shocking him greatly. sunoo looked at his mom for help, and she just nodded. "you're young enough to fit in, sunoo." he shrugged coldly.

"but i've never left the kingdom, how do i know what a human adolescent acts like?!" sunoo panicked as his mom hugged him tighter.

"they act like you, minus the vampire aspect. you start tomorrow." his dad finished talking and left the two on the bed. he looked at his mom and whined loudly.

"your uniform is ready for you, i think you'll like it." his mom smiled sadly once she snapped her fingers, signaling three maids to come in with his uniform.

sunoo stared at the red tie and licked over his fangs. he was suddenly excited for school so he could fuck some shit up.

"red, the color of power." one of the maids mumbled as he lifted it to his neck. it complimented his hair and eyes beautifully, making his grin grow even wider and darker.

it's not like sunoo never went to school, but regular school for vampires isn't a thing. you go to school to become a better vampire in addition to the core subjects.

"this is a sun protectant, you need to apply it once a day, and once the sun sets, you'll be fine." another maid explained, handing him the lotion. sunoo nodded, examining the bottle. "you will also saw you have transferred from suwon after testing high into this school."

"and don't take any photos or look into any mirrors. you won't appear in them." the third maid ordered. sunoo furrowed his eyebrows, confused at the command. "human cameras and mirrors cannot capture your looks, so don't let anyone see you slip up." she clarified.

sunoo nodded and stroked his thumb over the blue blazer. he hated blue, grimacing at the clothing.

"make us proud tomorrow, beautiful." his mom smiled, kissing his cheek.

sunoo glared at himself in the mirror, not used to this uniform. it was ugly, nothing like a vampire uniform.

"you look hot." sunghoon smirked, wrapping his arms around sunoo's waist. the younger sucked his teeth angrily, hating the feel and look of it. "yah, sunoo lighten up, you could even have sex with a mortal!" sunghoon whispered, tugging at sunoo's ear.

"they don't have vampire stamina though," sunoo pouted as he rubbed sunghoon's arms. "can't you just get me a human?" sunoo asked, giving sunghoon the look that could kill anyone.

vampires often act very romantic with friends, but sex before marriage. it was often looked down upon if you were royalty. sunoo and sunghoon had a special bond, being best friends that fuck for a while.

"you know that doesn't work on me." sunghoon tsked, making sunoo roll his eyes. "my fledgling, humans aren't as bad as your mom says. she's just scared because-"

the two were cut off with a maid entering his room with his shoes and backpack. she placed them on the floor and apologized profusely before leaving. sunoo rolled his eyes again and slung his backpack over his shoulder.

"i know about my grandparents, but that was so long ago." sunoo scoffed. sunghoon laughed at the bright pink backpack because of how unfitting it was. "stop laughing at me! i like pink." sunoo mumbled angrily.

"my sweet, you're gonna have an amazing school day, don't go all in today though." sunghoon advised. sunoo nodded and pecked his lips before running out to the car.

he watched the car drive away with pain in his heart. he wondered if sunoo would be ok out there, much like his mom worried.

sunoo has always been a different vampire. as the prince, his mother has always pampered him and wanted only the best for him. his father on the other hand wanted to toughen him up into an almighty vampire that could kill with a look, alas his dreams were crushed.
