"I don't tell people where I hunt, when I do its a Lie"

It had been 30 minutes of just standing and staring at her. Her soft chocolate eyes staring into my crimson ones. Our hair was damp from the night air. Hope stared longingly at Kade her gaze entranced by his energy. She had looked over every square inch of the sculpted body her. Muscular but fit build, she could tell he was athletic. Every warning her body gave her told her to run. However if she even moved an inch Kade was so on edge that he would jump at the chance to chase her.

Kade watched, waited, and listened to Hope's every movement. The sound of her breathing. Her heart racing. with every passing moment Kade hoped that she would turn tail and run. The tension was killing them both. Hope wanted to run. The air hung heavy with anticipation as Kade's gaze remained fixed on Hope, who stood at the edge of the clearing, her stance uncertain, her eyes darting nervously. Kade could sense the turmoil within her, the conflict raging beneath the surface. He knew she wanted to flee, to escape the weight of their circumstances, but something held her back.

With a silent plea in his heart, Kade willed Hope to stay, to confront the truth they both knew but dared not speak aloud. He understood her fear, her desire for freedom, yet he couldn't bear the thought of her slipping away into the night, leaving behind unanswered questions and unspoken words. As if sensing his inner turmoil, Hope's gaze met his, a fleeting moment of connection amidst the chaos surrounding them. In that instant, Kade saw the raw vulnerability in her eyes, the unspoken plea for understanding. He longed to reach out to her, to offer solace in the midst of their shared uncertainty.

But before he could utter a word, Hope's resolve wavered, and with a swift turn, she disappeared into the darkness, leaving Kade standing alone in the clearing, his heart heavy with regret. He knew he should have stopped her, should have fought harder to keep her from slipping away, but the words remained trapped in his throat, lost to the echoes of what could have been.

With a heavy sigh, Kade turned away, his thoughts consumed by the memory of Hope's fleeting presence. Though she was gone, her essence lingered in the air, a bittersweet reminder of the bond they shared and the love that still burned brightly, even in the face of uncertainty. And as the night closed in around him, Kade vowed to never stop searching, to never give up hope, for he knew that their paths would cross again, and when they did, he would be ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, together.
