"Her scent burned in my memory I need it"

Kade hadn't gone back to the cafe in about three days. He had been cooped up in his house. Feeling stuck in his art he gathered himself and went out for a walk. It was about dusk when he left. The forest was damp with the evening dew. He walked for an hour or two before taking a break.

A familiar scent fell over his nose making his mouth water. It was Hope. The air was cold and nipped at his body. The sun set over the mountains in the west painting the sky in brilliant colors of orange and red velvety tones. Kade stalked and watched her for what seemed like 30 to 45 minutes. It was wrong but he couldn't help it. It was instinct to watch, to stalk, to hunt. Hope walked as if she had walked these paths for years however she didn't know them as well as Kade did. Hope must have known that someone was watching her as she had drawn a pocket knife from her back pocket. The blade looked like it had been freshly sharpened. Kade smiled softly. He moved up wind of Hope as she stepped out into the moonlight. Kade quietly walked up behind her. Reacting to his presence unknowing it was him pressing the blade to his neck gently piercing the skin. His blood skimmed over the blade before dripping off to the ground.

Hope was breathing heavy, "What the fuck I could have killed you?! You can't just stalk people like that." He smirked and laughed a little. "My apologies I didn't mean to startle you. Your scent caught my attention." Hope cleaned off her blade slipping it back into her pocket. "My scent? What do you mean?" She seemed confused. "Your smell." He leaned into Hope, "It's invaded my mind, burned and committed to memory." Kade smiled grazing his lips over hers. Hope was left surprised.

Kade's thoughts ran endlessly through his mind. All the things he could do to Hope both respectful and disrespectful. His mouth watered at the thought of hunting the Doe in his mind. Tracking her scent. Grabbing her by the waist holding her in such a way that she couldn't escape. It was exhilarating. He wanted this. No. Kade needed this. A low growl emitted from his chest. His primal instinct called to her he wanted Hope to run. Kade wanted to chase her. The cold night air brushing over his face. Hopes scent fills his senses. It drove him crazy. It made him even more ravenous for the hunt.
