I woke up to someone waking me.

"Lilly, wake up, we're here!" A voice I recognized as my mum's said.

I groaned and took my headphones out. I shoved them into my bag as I got out of the car. I opened the bag door and grabbed a box with my name on it and shut the door with my butt.

As I entered the house, I noticed that the living room, dining room, and entrance hall were all set up. I made my way upstairs to go pick my room.

I walked to the end of the hall and entered a beige wall colored room. It had a bathroom next to it, a mini walk-in-closet, and a little sitting area at a window. I saw my bed and walked over to it setting my stuff on it.

I sighed and laid down next to it. We've moved so many times this year that I've given up on trying to make friends. But maybe we'll stay until I graduate this time. I highly doubt it but a girl could hope.

I picked up my phone and started to scroll through twitter when I heard a noise from outside. I got up and walked downstairs. I peeked through the certain hanging on the window next to the door. Some garage band was playing across the street. I was about to head out to get a closer look when mum called for dinner.

I stayed a bit longer looking out to see a blonde boy talking to the drummer. I shook my head and walked into the dining room.

"Thanks, mum, for the dinner," I said to mum as I started eating a little.

I looked around the table to see my brother, James glued to his phone like usual. I looked at my mum but she wasn't looking up. I sighed loudly as I played with my food.

"What is it, Lilly?" Mum asked sternly.

"What do you mean?" I mumbled still fiddling with my food.

"You sighed loudly," she said giving a look of annoyance.

"Yeah, because I hate this! I hate starting over! I have to enter this stupid new school alone. Why alone? Because I don't have anyone in the first place because we're constantly moving!" I shouted with anger, looking her dead in the eye.

She threw her hand up, "Well, I'm sorry I'm doing my best for you guys. I'm only one parent, Lilly, and I can only do so much! I really appreciate some respect," she said angrily.

"Really?!" I asked in outrage. "You think moving to every god-forsaken town in Australia is what's best for us?! We are never settled! Since dad died, I feel alone. He was the one I could go to! I was excited to come home to see him, now coming home is just as much hell as going to school is!" I exclaimed panting as I finished.

I stared her in the eye not willing to back down. She didn't say another word and broke eye contact by looking down. She continued eating like nothing happened.

"I'm going to bed," I excused myself with a sigh.

I walked up to my room and slammed the door shut. I fell on my bed and screamed into my pillow. There's days I wish my dad was still here. Today was one of those days. They were the days I felt like I didn't exist at all. My brothers doing god-knows-what and my mum never really being home.

When dad was still alive, he and I were close. We had a great relationship. I got up and changed I to some pajama shorts and a tank top. I threw my hair down and brushed it out before putting it up again. I sighed and fell back into my bed and slowly started to drift asleep.

New day tomorrow...
